The Covenant on the Fleshy Tables of the Heart

blogbadge.jpg

I would like to give way to an email addressed to me by a Seventh Day Adventist pastor who commented on my articles regarding the SDAC’s teachings, particularly the article entitled “The Faulty Covenant of the Seventh Day Adventist Church” posted last July 5, 2007. The email states:

Dear Eli:

First, my deepest apologies for Seventh Day Adventist’s that come across very rude. The
Internet is a medium that can be taken the wrong way very easily and some
are not as adept as they ought to be, perhaps, in expressing themselves in a
way that one can discern the tenor and tone of the writer.

I was interested in your post and am not sure how you got this email, but I
thought I would take a few moments to respond.

Yes, the first covenant was faulty and was discontinued at the cross of
Christ. But the question is “what is the first covenant?” If it was the
Ten Commandments then those are done away with at the cross, but if it
wasn’t then they are still enforce. A covenant, as I am sure you are well
aware of, is an agreement between two or more parties. The agreement called
the Old Covenant was God stating that the children of Israel would obey His
voice (Read Exodus 19-24) and the people said (three times) “all the Lord
said we will do” and the final declaration they added “and be obedient.”
Moses took the blood of sacrifice and ratified (put into effect) that
agreement. The Ten Commandments were the basis, the parameters, of the
agreement, not the agreement itself. Thus, the Ten Commandments were not
done away with when the old covenant was nullified.

Note what you high lighted so well in your quote of Hebrews, which comes
from Jeremiah 31:31-34. God said that He would do something in this new
covenant that does away with the idea that the Ten Commandments were done
away with at the cross. God Himself states that He would “put My laws in
their minds and write them on their hearts.” Far from the law being done
away with. It is rather inscribed upon His peoples hearts. Thus, the ten
commandments are not done away with. We know this, too, by the very fact
that in the book of Revelation we are given two glimpses of the law in
chapters 11 and 15 and that it is in heaven right now.

So, when you say that no one is sanctified by the old covenant you are
correct. But Seventh-day Adventists are not under the old covenant. They
are under the new like all true converted/transformed believers in Jesus
Christ. They are not saved by their works. They are not saved by their
obedience to the law of God, but they are empowered by God through His
Spirit with His law written on their hearts to live for Him. Thus, a
converted believer is following God out of a heart of love, trusting in the
merits and mercies of Jesus Christ for the basis and sum of their salvation.

Since Adventists love God they seek to follow Him in all that He has spoken
and one of those commandments that they joyfully obey is the fourth about
keeping the seventh day holy. But obeying that commandment is no more a
works trip than say, refraining from committing adultery either physically
or in their heart, or by their refraining from stealing, etc and so forth.
Their obedience is prompted by love for God and is simply the fruit evidence
of their converted state.

True, some SDA’s are relying on their works for acceptance to God, but they
are mistaken. But Adventism does not espouse or teach that one is saved by
their obedience, but solely through the merits of Jesus Christ and they also
teach that there is no such thing as cheap grace. God does not forgive only
to allow us to go on sinning, breaking His commandments because they are “no
longer under the old covenant.”

The new covenant involves the new heart. Ezekiel 36:25-27 says that God
promises a new heart and His Spirit to enable us to keep His will, or His
law. Adventists believe this and seek to do so by God’s grace.

I hope that this aids this very important and needed dialogue and the Lord
bless you.

In His Service and at yours,

Pastor Kevin James
Ogden Seventh-day Adventist Church

Dear Pastor Kevin James,

While you admit that the first covenant was faulty, and discontinued at the cross of Christ, you claim that it was not the Ten Commandments. But a closer look at the following verses of Colossians 2:14, we will find out the inevitable conclusion that what was done away was the Ten Commandments with its statutes and judgment.

(Colossians 2:14-17) “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.”

Note that Christians can not be judged after the blotting out of the ordinances regarding meats, drinks, holy days, and Sabbaths: which are a shadow of the real thing —which is Christ. Christ is the Sabbath for Christians!

There is no doubt that the first covenant is the covenant written on two tables of stones.

(Deuteronomy 4:13) “And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.”

It is also called as the “Law of Moses”, containing statutes and judgments.

(Malachi 4:4) “Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.”

Which is this Law of Moses that contains statutes and judgment? Those that were commanded by God unto Moses in Horeb for all Israel. Which are these?

ten-commandments.jpg(Deuteronomy 5:1-15) “And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them. The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb. The LORD made not this covenant with our fathers, but with us, even us, who are all of us here alive this day. The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the midst of the fire, (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to show you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying, I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. (1)Thou shalt have none other gods before me. (2)Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments. (3) Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. (4) Keep the sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee. Six days thou shalt labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.” (5)Honor thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. (6)Thou shalt not kill. (7)Neither shalt thou commit adultery. (8)Neither shalt thou steal. (9)Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbor. (10)Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbor’s wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbor’s house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbor’s. These words the LORD spoke unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me.

I intentionally highlighted in red, and numbered the commandments for your convenience and understanding, that the covenant made in Horeb between God and His people Israel, is the Ten Commandments, which He wrote on two tables of stone, also called the Law of Moses.

(Malachi 4:4) “Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.”

This first covenant was intended for a nation — for Israel. The next covenant He promised He is going to make for the people of Israel will not be only for Israel, but is intended also for the gentiles, and He will write it not on tables of stones, but on ‘fleshy tables of the heart’.

(Hebrews 8:10) “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people…”

This is called the New Covenant.

(2 Corinthians 3:6, 3) “Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life…”

“…Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.”

The letters that killeth being mentioned by Paul are the letters of the first covenant or testament, which are the Laws of Moses or the Ten Commandments!

(Hebrews 10:28) “He that despised Moses’ law died without mercy under two or three witnesses…”

The New Covenant, as promised, will be written on hearts, thus, giving a chance of justification, even to those who have not heard the law — the gentile.

(Romans 2:11-15) “For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law; (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another)”

By the doing away of the first covenant, and enforcing the New Covenant, Christ made the reconciliation between Jews and non-Jews: making in Himself of twain a new man, one body or The Church.

(Ephesians 2:14-16) “For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby…”

Jews and gentiles were reconciled to God by what Christ has done in the cross.

(Colossians 2:14-16) “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days…”

burning_bush2.jpg

What is the New Covenant? It was not the one given on the mount, but which came from Jerusalem above.

(Galatians 4:22-26) “For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which engendereth to bondage, which is Hagar. For this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.”

The mother of all Christians is the covenant which came from above, from Jerusalem above, containing the Laws of Christ, and is meant for the whole world.

(Acts 1:2, 8 ) “Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen…”

“…But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

(Galatians 6:2) “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

(Matthew 28:20) “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

The New Covenant is the Gospel, the Law of Christ which He commanded to be observe until the end of the world.

(Luke 16:16) “The law and the prophets were until John: from that time the gospel of the kingdom of God is preached, and every man entereth violently into it.” ASV

The efficacy of the Law of Moses was until John, and then follows the gospel which is the New Covenant.

(Mark 1:14-15) “Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

My dear brother Kevin James, may you find enlightenment within the verses that I have cited.

The first covenant was given in Horeb, and it was the Ten Commandments, with the statutes and judgment.

I pray for your enlightenment and all Seventh Day Adventist.

May God Bless You.

  1. Glory to GOD… You’re really such a good preacher Bro.Eli.. we hope to see you soon… we miss you and we love you Bro.Eli… I wish someday i may hug you before i die… Thanks to GOD….

  2. As much as SDA church’s pastor Mr. Kevin James would like to say that the first covenant (or testament) is not the 10 commandments, it’s clearly NOT TRUE, as the verses Deuteronomy 4:13 clearly show.

    Deuteronomy 4:13

“And he declared unto you his COVENANT, which he commanded you to perform, EVEN THE TEN COMMANDMENTS; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. ”

By the above verse, it’s CRYSTAL CLEAR that the FIRST COVENANT (or TESTAMENT) is the TEN COMMANDMENTS.

This FIRST COVENANT was NOT found faultless.

    Hebrews 8:7-8

“For IF that first covenant had been faultless, then would no place have been sought for a second.

For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, That I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah; ”

We hope that Bro. Eli’s article above helped in enlightening you on this.

    To God be the Glory.

  4. To Bro. Pastor Kevin James

Thanks for reading yet another powerful blog by the only sensible preacher of our times!

Pastor Kevin James, like any other SDA defender and enthusiast that we know, you are confused between the difference of the term “law of Moses” and “Ten Commandments” They believe that the term “law of Moses” only pertain and constitute to what they call “the ceremonial laws”.

According to them, there are 2 kinds of laws,

The “CEREMONIAL LAWS” and “THE MORAL LAWS”

The ceremonial laws are the laws written by Moses “in a book” containing the laws on offering of animals, cleaning, etc.
While the so called “moral laws” were the 10 commandments written by the finger of God on the 2 tablets of stone.
They further explain that the book of Moses was placed “beside” the ark of covenant while the 10 commandments or the moral laws, were placed “inside” the ark, to emphasize on their difference.

De 31:9 “And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.”
De 31:26 “Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.”

They reason that, when the Bible said that God has made a new testament, therefore nullifying the old one, they say

“oh it was the “ceremonial law that was nullified, not the moral laws!”

That is their way of thinking that was honed in their minds by centuries of misunderstood disparity.

When we cite to them this verse –

Ac 13:39 “And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.”

SDA defenders will once again go back to this sham reasoning . . .

“It talks about the “laws of Moses” not the 10 commandments! That’s different!”

Notice how tricky this situation is? No wonder they are steadfast in this faith! For them, it seems uncontestable!

They further cite this verse –

    Mt 19:7

“They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?”

    Mt 19:8

“He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.”

When Jesus was being asked if its lawful to put away his wife, he gave no for an answer! Then they asked our Lord
“why did Moses give a law allowing divorce?”
The SDA points out here, that this is an example of the
“LAW OF MOSES” that if we follow, we will not be justified!

Whew! Im getting really dizzy with this kind of reasoning!
But in fairness to the SDA defenders, this seems to be truthful in the superficial point of view.

That is why thanks be to God, that He gave us such a sensible preacher! Bro. Eli Soriano to point out to us the discrepancies of this doctrine!

But I assure you, if this is what you have been taught, it’s not what it seems Bro. pastor Kevin James!

Like what Bro. Eli said, may God enlighten you to pay a more close attention to these differences, and may you find the understanding that you seek in His words!

God bless all SDA members who are “truth seekers” in the true meaning of the word! May God guide you all with the direction of His spirit and His sevant, BRO.ELI SORIANO! (“,)

  5. the Old Covenant was God stating that the children of Israel would obey His
voice (Read Exodus 19-24) and the people said (three times) “all the Lord
said we will do” and the final declaration they added “and be obedient.”
Moses took the blood of sacrifice and ratified (put into effect) that
agreement. The Ten Commandments were the basis, the parameters, of the
agreement, not the agreement itself. Thus, the Ten Commandments were not
done away with when the old covenant was nullified…KEVIN JAMES of SDA

    to kevin James,

You were inciting, if i am not mistaken, the first covenant between the people of israel and God was obeying his voice. To prove this you said, “…Since Adventists love God they seek to follow Him in all that He has spoken
and one of those commandments that they joyfully obey is the fourth about
    keeping the seventh day holy…”

Therefore, basing on this written blog of yours, one of the voice of God is the fourth commandment which is keeping the seventh day holy.

    You wrote above that the ten commandments was not the agreement itself but only parameters. How come you were claiming that the fourth commandment, a parameter, was spoken or voice of God. therefore, according to you that the parameters is the equal to the agreement or covenant because it was one of the spoken voice of God. it’s like;

=ten commandments are parameters not agreement itself
=voice of God are agreement or covenant
    =spoken voice is fourth commandment
=voice of God are ten commandments
=ten commandments are agreements or covenants
    =parameters are also agreements!

This is how you’re telling your belief. however, you still can’t accept that the ten commandment is not an agreement. VERY RIDICULOUS!ssD

  6. Would it mean that Kevin still believes that the ten commandments are the same commandments they must follow up to now? Which means that the only difference is how it was instilled to the Adventists?

Thus, may I ask, are you insinuating that God did not write the ten commandments in the hearts of the Israelites but instead, He wrote it in you hearts when you said, “It is rather inscribed upon His peoples hearts…”

  7. to all SDAC,
GOOD LUCK…we hope you are all enlighten, nothing to hide the true faith for salvation is with Christ….come on down…Church of God…. International is waiting…To God be the Glory!!!

  8. Esoriano.wordpress group,

I agree to what “Stephen” is suggesting that all the articles in this blog be published. I, myself, tried to copy all the topics and paste it to Ms Word and save it in my file. But everyday there’s new, I was left behind and did not find time to continue copying the topics for my file.

May I request also a tagalog version if ever you will publish it for those who are not well in english.

We will look forward in seeing your articles in book. We’re gonna buy it and share it to our loved ones and friends.

    To God be the glory!

  9. It’s clear that Kevin James, after taking a few moments, just made a speech in which he mentioned a lot of points that only came through his own understanding and not of the Bible, not of God. I remember St. Paul’s warning to Christians in

(Romans 16:18) “…and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”

Unlike Bro. Eli’s answers, that verses of the Bible showers supporting his points. It’s very satisfying and I find rest for my soul reading Bro. Eli’s answer..

[There is no doubt that the first covenant is the covenant written on two tables of stones.

(Deuteronomy 4:13) “And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.”]

Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable Gifts!!! Thanks be unto God for giving us Bro. Eli to reveal to us his message that it is not anymore the Law of Moses that we must follow in our times but the more complete, the perfect law, the law of liberty (James 1:25) which is the Law of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If Kevin James is truly a Pastor I hope he will not take any moment to depend his shepherd and his faith by answering what Bro. Eli has said in this topic… If he can!

Take Care always Bro. Eli, Thanks be unto God!

  10. All praises and thanksgiving belongs to our God Almigthy!

Thank you God…for giving us a true preacher in the end times!

    Daniel 12:3

3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

    Daniel 12:9-10

9And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

10Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

  11. I will not call Kevin a Pastor. How can this man argue of the commandments and insists that it was written in their hearts when in fact Jesus has prophesied that there shall be one shepherd.

    JOhn 10:16

I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.

If you listen to Kevin, you are not Jesus’ flock.

  12. i was really amazed with the explanation of mr.KEVIN JAMES of SDAC,hope you will understand all of bro.ELI’S explanation with all of the supporting verses to widen your understanding about the difference between the ‘LAW OF MOSES and the ‘TEN COMMANDMENTS,it is clearly testify according to the verse that we are not justified in the law of moses.and we wish all of the SDAC members will read this blog to enlighten their minds about this topic.as what the bible says;HAPPY IS THE MAN THAT FINDETH WISDOM,AND THE MAN THAT GETTETH UNDERSTANDING;Proverbs 3;13,and that is our preacher,Bro.ELI SORIANO.
    TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!!!!!
we miss you so much Bro.Eli

  13. Hope for more success in enlightening minds of our fellowmen in other religion about the bible. Bro. Eli is such the ONLY MESSENGER OF GOD that we all need in our time. … all false pastors be ready . . .
TO GOD BE THE GORY ! ! !

  14. Awesome elucidation, Brother Eli. Pastor Kevin, it is time to reconsider your teachings whom you have learned from your senior leaders. You are definitely mistaken in believing that the 10 commandments are still in effect today. A new covenant has been provided by God for His children in our present dispensation so let’s not harden our hearts and obey His will and law. To God be the glory.

  15. To God be the glory!
Nobody can refute God’s righteousness through Bro. Eli Soriano.
May God always bless our preacher.
    Thanks be to God

  16. Dear Kevin James,

I hope you’re in good health as you read my response to you. I fervently believed that Bro. Eli is the True Messenger of God in this end times; that anything he teaches, I put it to heart. And I am at my best now. How about if you just listen to Him and don’t resist his teachings. Then later you will see that heaven is at your grasp already. Just think that I am the least of your sister who wants you to be surely saved. God bless.

  17. I wish that by this time, kevin james is already a baptized member of the CHURCH OF GOD International. I could visualize a very strong chance of kevin finally accepting the correct and true doctrine. A very strong belief in GOD will eventually led one from an impaired or wrong doctrine to the right and biblically correct doctrine. Many of us also were from false churches with the wrong dogmatic doctrines, until GOD, in all HIS LOVE AND KINDNESS in HIS own many mysterious ways, opened our hearts to the voice of HIS Preacher Bro Eli. Listening to Bro Eli will bring many back to the folds of GOD’s LAWS, not the old laws for the Israelites written in stones, but the NEW COVENANT or the GOSPEL OF CHRIST intended for the fleshy tables of the hearts of the Israelites, the Gentiles, and all of us. We can always argue with Bro Eli, but it is no use to argue against the biblical TRUTH explained by Bro Eli. In the end the WORDS OF GOD will always prevail no matter how people arrange, re-arrange or twist the verses purposely or ignorantly. It may look simple to read and understand the bible, but not all are endowed with the wisdom to understand it like Bro Eli, Bro Daniel, the ministers, workers, and members of the CHURCH OF GOD International. If kevin has consistently followed up his interaction with Bro Eli, I calculate that he is now one with us in the MCGI, enjoying the fortune of hearing the true WORDS OF GOD thru Bro Eli and Bro Daniel. WE HONOR AND GLORIFY YOU LORD GOD.

  18. Regarding Basic Fundamental belief of SDA about Law of God here are some basic things to consider to share it to every one

The Great Principles of God’s Law is embodied in the Ten Commandments and exemplified in the life of Christ. They Express God’s Love, will, and concerning human conduct and relationships and are binding in all people for all ages These Precepts are the basis of God’s covenant with his people and the standard of God’s Judgement if what you said this was not applicable for today how will God Judge us? Through the agency of the holy spirit they will point out sin and awaken for a need of savior. Salvation is all of grace not by works, but its fruitage is obedience to the commandments. This obedience develops christian charater and results in sense of well being. It is evidence of our love God and to our fellow men. The obedience of faith demonstrate the power of christ to transform lives. and therefore strengthen christian witness to others please read for reference the following (Ex. 20:1-17, Ps 40:7,8 , Matt 22:36-40 , Deut. 28:1-14 , Matt 5:17-20 , Heb 8:8-10 , John 15: 7-10, Eph 2:8-10 , I John 5:3, Romans 8:3 & 4 , Ps 19-7-14 I share this for benefit of every one thanks & God Bless

  19. To start with, we are all justified not by the deeds of the law, but by the Grace of Christ.

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Titus 3: 8-10 8This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

9But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

    Grace be unto you all

  20. According to Bro. Eli: “The New Covenant is the Gospel, the Law of Christ which He commanded to be observe until the end of the world.”

My questions is: What is the Law of Christ? What are we to observe?

  21. Bro. Eli, “the seer”, the “messenger” sent by God in todays dispensation.

We thank God and we praise God by giving a Bro. Eli to us.

About the topic, what can I say, magnificent! Very clear!

    Thanks be to God always.

  22. ‘m getting older and I’m forgetting many things, but two things remains clear that i’m a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior.
I ask myself what is was so wrong with 10 commandments that were nail in cross? So i went to read it. I noticed that main focus of the commandments is relationship. The first 4 commandments put emphasis in relationship with God, and the rest with mankind. The relationship with God is worship and with mankind respect. The first 4 commandments tell us to who, how, when, and why we worship. and the rest how to relate with others humans.
Before i accepted Jesus as my Savior and Lord, i have many gods, worshiped and praised “saints”, used the name of God in vain, i believed that we came from apes and all the days were equal. I did not honored my parents, well never killed no one, but yes i fornicated often, lying was part of nature, i have not remorse of accusing and coveting.
When the Lord came to my heart I worship the only God, the creator, my idols were destroyed, his name was not used in vain and yes i recognized that he created the heavens and earth, also i realized that i have a dedicated time only to worship Him. My parents were respected, now i saw the ladies as daughters of God and not as objects for my pleasure I decided to tell the true no matter what and avoided accusing or coveting.
I know that i’m not save for what i do, yes my salvation is only for grace. but when the Lord came to my live i felt that his laws were writing on my heart. I felt that the accusations of my sins were nail in the cross but not his commandments. If Jesus nailed the commandments i will be free to do what i just to do before. Noway that he nailed the true worship of God. If we say that he Jesus of Nazareth destroyed the true worship of God we admitting that he is not the Christ but he is the antichrist. That is wrong and a blasphemy.
