The Old Covenant Can Not Sanctify Anymore

blogbadge.jpg

This is a reply to Scott Fogg’s comment on my article entitled “The Rationale Why God Created Woman” posted last July 3, 2007. His comment is as follows:

“It’s interesting that you should mention Luke 19:40. For in the history of the Adventist Church, the visions that Ellen White had were first given to a man. But when this man refused to share what God had given him, God turned to Ellen and gave her the visions. It was only after she began to share what God had shown her that this man was emboldened to step forward and share what God had shown him as well.

And as far as Balaam goes, does it really matter whether or not he was an Israelite? God still spoke to him through the mule.

Regardless of whether or not you believe Ellen White was a prophetess, your interpretation of the Bible is marginalizing women. While I do believe there are things that women are better suited for (and likewise, men), to say that women have no place outside of the home is silly and insulting.

When Jesus and His apostles were preaching, it was in a very different world. Can you imagine if a woman had risen up to lead the church in 30 AD? It would have been too subversive for any culture or religion to handle at the time. The church would have been ignored or destroyed entirely. Which is why you have Jesus, the prophets, and the apostles downplaying the role of the woman in the church. But today, in the 21st century, there is no reason that a woman can’t lead.

Shouldn’t the Christian church be empowering all of its members? God doesn’t change, but society does. That’s only logical. And we see God working in new and exciting ways every day. Why would you want to limit God by effectively taking away half His congregation and relegating them to the kitchen?

I don’t see how any of this is “sensible,” and my study of the Bible has *NOT* led me into the same understanding it somehow had led you. I’m sorry.”

-=Scott

Dear Brother Scott,

False accusations are prohibited in your ‘adopted’ Ten Commandments.

Nowhere in my article did I say that women are only meant for the kitchen. A little study will tell you that the best of cooks and chef in international kitchens are male. Your answers are false accusations to somebody who cares for the enlightenment of your soul. Such is prohibited in the Ten Commandments.

I am obliged to repeat that in The Church of God, we esteem, with the highest of regards, our women. They occupy vital administrative positions in the Church like, being treasurers, auditors, and the likes. It is not to disgrace or to dishonor a woman if you say that she must be under the authority of man.

(1 Peter 3:7) “Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.”

Regarding a woman as a weaker vessel is honor unto her, according to Peter — a former seventh day keeper converted to The Church of God.

You accused me of marginalizing women; and you said that it is silly and foolish to say that women have no place outside the home. Did I ever say that women have no place outside the home? Or are you lying? Remember, “Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor”.

ten-commandments.jpg

(Exodus 20:16) “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.”

Your idea, that it is not timely for women to lead the first century church because it will be too subversive against their culture and religion; that is why Jesus Christ and the apostles downplayed the role of women in the Church, is really silly and foolish. And the notion that because it is now the 21sth century there is no reason to prohibit women leading the Church, is utmost foolishness. Why?

The reason given by Paul prohibiting women to usurp authority over the man is not because it was then too early for women to take the role of leading the Church but…

(1 Timothy 2:11-14) “Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.”

…because in the order of God’s priority, the man came first; and the woman is prone to deceit. The teachings written by the apostles, particularly those of the apostle Paul, are commandments of the Lord.

(1Corinthians 14:37) “If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.”

And one of those commandments of the Lord is what he wrote before verse 37. Let us read verses 34 to 36 of chapter 14 of 1 Corinthians.

(1 Corinthians 14:34) “Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.”

(1 Corinthians 14:35) “And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.”

(1 Corinthians 14:36) “What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?”

The apostle Paul asked the women of Corinth, What? came the word of God out from you?”. God’s words are first entrusted to a man, and then it is relayed to a woman (or came it unto you only).

Remember, Brother Scott, these things the apostle Paul wrote are commandments of the Lord. Are these commandments meant only for the first century church? Are they to be disregarded in the 21sth century? O, c’mon!

(Acts 1:2, 8 ) “Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen…”

“…But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Note that the commandments received by the apostles, they were to testify and preach unto the uttermost part of the earth; until the end of the age!

(Matthew 28:20) “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

It is really idiotic to say that the prohibition for women to lead the church of God is only to be observed in the 1st century and to be disregarded on the 21st.

I can not help but quote and copy your erroneous idea that follows (which is in highlighted in red letters):

“Shouldn’t the Christian church be empowering all of its members? God doesn’t change, but society does. That’s only logical. And we see God working in new and exciting ways every day. Why would you want to limit God by effectively taking away half His congregation and relegating them to the kitchen?

I don’t see how any of this is “sensible,” and my study of the Bible has *NOT* led me into the same understanding it somehow had led you. I’m sorry.”

You said, “Shouldn’t the Christian church be empowering all of its members”. Did God give power to the Church to empower all its members? What verse tells this so? Are all the members of the SDAC empowered? Where there (in the almost 200 year history of your church) other women that led your church? Or was it only Ellen G. White? Will you answer these questions honestly?

You said, God doesn’t change, but society does”. I appreciate that you know that God does not change! But, even if human society changes — everyday, will the true Church of God change its doctrines with it? Noooooo!

(Romans 12:2) “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

In fact, it is prohibited for God’s chosen people to mingle with those who are given to change.

(Proverbs 24:21) “My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change…”

The teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ were not meant to be changed. Unlike the Law of Moses or the Ten Commandments, they were given to be observed until the end of the world.

(Matthew 28:20) “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

The Law of Moses was until John.

(Luke 16:16) “The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”

The Law of Moses was for the Israelites.

(Malachi 4:4) “Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.”

These are God’s commandments given to Moses on the mountain and was called by God the “Law of Moses”. Just like the commandments given by God to Jesus Christ for Christians, which was called “The Law of Christ”.

(Galatians 6:2) “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

The Law of Christ came from God; just like the Law of Moses.

(John 12:49-50) “For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”

What is this “Law of Moses” given to him by God on the mountain, that has with it statutes and judgment?

(Exodus 31:18) “And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.”

These are the Ten Commandments written on two tables of stones with the finger of God.

(Deuteronomy 4:13) “And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.”

It is also called “The Covenant”, which, later, was declared the “Old Covenant”.

(Hebrews 8:13) “In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.”

It was the law that was changed when the priesthood was changed.

(Hebrews 7:12) “For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.”

Jesus Christ succeeded Moses and his priesthood.

(Hebrews 3:1-4) “Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honor than the house.”

In the Christian dispensation, the Law of Moses can not sanctify anymore!

(Acts 13:39) “And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.”

Thus, the change in Sabbath.

God Bless.

  1. Today is the 4th of July.
I hope that Mr. Scott will continue reading on the “light” reply of Bro. Eli and it just maybe his luck that today be truly an “independence day” for him of his wrong belief as influenced by the teaching of SDA.
I say “light” reply because i knew that Bro. Eli can share with Mr. Scott the “deeper” thoughts of God if he is willing, with an open mind, to read or hear on the “Words of God” as shared by Bro. Eli.
Thanks be to God, His Words are known to us through Bro. Eli!!!

  2. AMEN!!!!!!

    To Scott

be open minded….weight the facts and logics. truth hurts you know!

i am hoping, all your questioned will be answered here!!

To God be the GLORY!!! \o/\o/\o/

  3. Hi Scott,

We beseech you to carefully read and understand every verse and explanation provided by Bro. Eli. I tell you, you will never hear that kind of explicitly enumerated answer from other preachers in our time but only from him.

Bro. Eli is doing his best to provide you precise information for your enlightenment and salvation. We hope to see a positive response from your end and to be appreciative of God’s righteousness rather than be contentious.

    May God bless you.

  4. TO: Scott

    What Bother Eli said that “A little study will tell you that the best of cooks and chef in international kitchens are male.” is true because;

The best carpenter in the earth from the past, today and tomorrow is male in the name called Jesus Christ.

What’s the relation of this? because when a carpenter doing or building a house which is you, the carpenter needs a snacks or food or in short a woman has also a participation in building a houses which turn into a community.

    That’s why Jesus Christ said;

“Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.” (Matthew 26:13)

But to a woman to become a leader of the community, my conscience tell me that I don’t buy on it brother.

Because as what GOD said that ” I am GOD the creator of heaven and earth and I will not give my gloriousness to anybody of any graven image”.

and being like “If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came”

Then I will not also give my gloriousness to a woman which is only an image unto me.

  5. I’ve been searching for the best answer for this topic. Thank God I found the BEST ANSWER. Purely Scriptural. Supported by Verses of the Bible. I’ll share this site to my friends and foes. I’ll visit more often. More power. God bless.

  6. great biblical explanations,bro.eli!
we just need the verses read by the seer…in our time…1 sam.9:9

we dont need our own assumptions..for it is common knowledge that the mother of all foul ups are assumptions….as they commonly say this world. but as the bible say…

LAM 3:35To turn aside the right of a man before the face of the most High .

1 COR 3: 20And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

21Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your’s

  7. I pray that Mr. Scott’s mind be enlightened with the truth while his discussions with Bro. Eli continues.

    Praise be to God !!!

  8. Mr. Soriano, You said: The Old Covenant Can Not Sanctify Anymore?

Be careful with your mouth preacher! Do not speak great words against the most high. Do not even think to change the Laws of God. (Daniel 7:25)

“For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light (Proverb 6:23)

“The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart, the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
    (Psalm 19:7-8)

“And Therefore thou shalt love the Lord thy God, and keep his charge and his statutes and his judgment and his commandment always” (Deuteronomy 11:1)

The “Messiah” will make us free from the bondage of the tyrannical and wicked, God-hating, heathen nations, but he will bring us and all mankind to live under the Law of God (Isaiah 2:4; Zechariah 8:23; 14:16-19).

Jesus christ magnified the law (and not destroyed it) as prophecied by Isaiah (14:21). He accepted the law as the BASIC STANDARD, He extracted its essence thus distilling, stiffening, universalizing, internalizing and CLARIFYING it. Therefore Jesus Christ did not nullify the law.

“the lord is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the law and make it honorable” (Isaiah 42:21).

YOU MISUNDERSTOOD JESUS CHRIST in Luke 16:16. and Matthew 5:18-19

  9. Bro Scott….

bro eli is not preaching to be praised by the world…
he speaks because he learned through reading the Holy Scriptures that telling us the whole truth, no matter how it hurts, is the best way he can convey how God’s love…

may GOD, his GOD… enlighten you, and not only you but all of us…

    thanx.

  10. The law is holy (Romans 7:12),

The law is spiritual (Romans 4:14)

The law is good (Romans 4:14)

The Law is holy, spiritual and good therefore old covenant can sanctify.

  11. To Adventist777 & Anthony,

Be informed that the Gospel of Christ states:

Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

If the same covenant, commandments, laws shall be used, why would there be a need to make a new one?

Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Be informed that the covenant you are observing is something that is already obsolete! Get updated, so that you may be sanctified and be justified!

YOU SAID: Be careful with your mouth preacher! Do not speak great words against the most high. Do not even think to change the Laws of God. (Dan. 7:25)

Wrong application, Adventist! That verse doesn’t have anything to do with what Bro. Eli and that is a different issue to discuss.

On the other hand, you simply show your stupidity by accusing Bro. Eli of changing the Law. Can you prove that it is Bro. Eli who changed the law, or is it God who changed it? Doesn’t God have the right to do that?

Let us prove that God has changed the former law:

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

It is God who changed the Law through His Son, Christ Jesus. If God would be the one to change the law, will you be against Him? Try and read again.

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

Who are you to contest that? Read your Bible!

  12. To Anthony:

Please read your bible and don’t hastely make conclusions like: “…..therefore old covenant can sanctify.” maybe you can be sanctified if you consider yourself an Israelite, but you’re an adventist, am I right?

consider all the part of the scriptures, which law can sanctify….the old covenant? read again:

(Heb 8:7) For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

(Acts 13:39) “And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.”

(Luke 16:16) “The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”

  13. To Tony Santos

Remember the prophecy of Prophet Isaiah “the lord is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake;HE WILL MAGNIFY THE LAW AND MAKE IT HONORABLE” (Isaiah 42:21).

Christ must magnify (not nullify) the law and make it honorable! the prophecy above needs to be fulfilled because God is not a liar. Did you mean that God is compromising his own standard?

So the Gospel of Christ states:

“If you would enter life, Keep the commandments (Matthew 19:17)

“Think not that I have come to abollish the LAW and the PROPHETS; I HAVE COME NOT TO ABOLISH THEM BUT TO FULFILL THEM (Isaiah 42:21). For truly I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, nor a dot, will pass from the law untill all is accomplished. WHOEVER THEN RELAXES ONE OF THE LEAST OF THE COMMMANDMENTS AND TEACHES MEN SO, shall be called LEAST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:17-19))

……For truly I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the law (Isaiah 42: 21) until all is accomplished….

“It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one dot of the law to become void(Luke 16:17)

In luke 16:17, Jesus did not mean all the aspects of law would continue to be enforced. As a matter of fact he stiffened the law. He raised it to be a matter of will or desire rather than of a mere action.like for instance many laws in the Philippines are no longer enforced. Time changes, the society changes and they are not currently needed. but they remain on the books and can be enforced should any administration choose to do so. So it is with much of the law as delivered by Moses

Then of his own words he said:

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away” (Matthew 24:35)

It is clear two thing will not pass away: The law as delivered by Moses and the word delivered by Jesus. The two stand together while heaven and earth endure. This is what we should expect of words having God as their common origin. THE WORDS OF THE ETERNAL GOD MUST THEMSELVES BE ETERNAL.

The question is what was lacking in the mosaic code? why was it necessary that Jesus come after Moses to amend it?

    ———————–

Antony wrote: The Law is holy, spiritual and good therefore old covenant can still sanctify.

True as it is written in the books of Romans!, Apostle paul commitment to Judaism ( Romans, 7:12, 4:14, 7:16) would not permit a negative attitude toward it. so it is not decayeth and waxeth old and is ready to vanish away.

  14. To jt dxb

(Luke 16:16) “The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.”

    —————————————————–

In luke 16:16 Jesus did not mean that the law and the prophets were terminated with the ministry of John the harbinger. It is true before John the world was under a different administration. but the administration has changed and Jesus has been exalted and installed as KING. The law and the prophets will not pass away but continue and greatly strengthened and stiffened by the new administration of Jesus- the Messiah.

    To jt dxb:

Acts 13:39) “And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.”

    —————————————————–

Those claiming to be justified without the law have no
salvation, therefore without the law there is no justification. we need the law to enter life eternal ( Matthew 19:17-19). The law promised life.

Jesus said: “the scribes and the pharisees sit on Moses’ seat; so practice and observe whatever they tell you, but not what they do; for they preach but do not practice.”

So Jesus surely accepted Moses as God’s chosen spokesman and the law as delivered by Moses is indeed from the mouth of God. God will never make a declaration that’s unachievable and unjustifiable.

  15. I thank God for this visit to your BLOG. Based on the arguments posted, it doesn’t take a Fiscal to render the judgement that, indeed, The Old Covenant Can Not Sanctify Anymore. To God be the Glory!

  16. tsk tsk… what a pity! the Bible verses that was stated by bro Eli were VERY CLEAR!!! but still there are people who are blind or just trying to cloud their eyes with their arrogance…
There is not even one self explanation from Bro Eli..

    False accusers, be open minded!!!

  17. To Anthony,

    1. The law of Moses was commanded to him by God in Horeb FOR ALL ISRAEL, with the statutes and judgments.

Malachi 4:4  ¶Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

    a…which were carnal ordinances only.

Hebrews 9:10  Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

b…and it was not faultless, so there was a need for the second.

Hebrews 8:7  For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

    2. Indeed there was…

Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

a…The law that the apostle Paul was refering to all along is this:

Galatians 6:2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

    b…why?

    Hebrews 9:11  But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

c…and you could NOT be justified by the law of Moses.

Acts 13:39  And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

With this kind of reasoning by Bro. Eli in the Scriptures it’s enough to enlighten your darkened mind.

  20. Beware of your BIG MOUTH Mr. Adventist you are displaying lots of disgrace to the church you are affiliated.

You are speaking with no proofs to what you are saying, better read the bible, and understand the kind of reasoning Bro. Eli is giving you. To enlighten your darkened mind.

  23. To all SDA’s especially to Mr. Scott:

You better watch first the debate between Bro. Eli Soriano and Mr. Vickens(if I’m not mistaken with the name), a SDA teacher before arguing with Bro. Eli’s point (based on the Bible).

All your questions and doubts will be answered after watching that on line debate (via internet).

You said: Those claiming to be justified without the law have no salvation, therefore without the law there is no justification. we need the law to enter life eternal ( Matthew 19:17-19). The law promised life.

Isn’t it that Jesus was speaking to a young man?

Mat 19:16 And behold, one came and said to Him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?
Mat 19:17 And He said to him, Why do you call Me good? There is none good but one, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.

Mat 19:18 He said to Him, Which? Jesus said, You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness,

Mat 19:19 honor your father and mother, and, you shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Mat 19:20 The young man said to Him, I have kept all these things from my youth up; what do I lack yet?

Mat 19:21 Jesus said to him, If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in Heaven. And come, follow Me.

Mat 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful; for he had great possessions.

oh yes! the young man was following the law hmm… but why did he went away sorrowful? he was following the law as mr. adventist were saying.

  25. To mr adventist

you cited: In luke 16:16 Jesus did not mean that the law and the prophets were terminated with the ministry of John the harbinger. It is true before John the world was under a different administration. but the administration has changed and Jesus has been exalted and installed as KING. The law and the prophets will not pass away but continue and greatly strengthened and stiffened by the new administration of Jesus- the Messiah.

brother, can you cite a verse proving that the laws and prophets will not pass away, that Jesus continued and greatly strengthened it under His admin. please without putting your ideas unto His.

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

Compare all the verses that you have, brother and ask God for help. God bless.

  26. to seventh day adventist,
why is it very hard for you to understand? that the law of Moises is for Israelites does this mean if we did not follow it we fought against God? no the law of Moises still here for our reference thats why God preserve it for us, so we can know the faults of first people of God, but it’s crystal clear the explanation of bro. eli base in the bible!
actually the real observants of sabbath in the bible doesn’t
doing anything during saturday! how about you, are you doing that way? or you just observing it by mouth! and the Israelites burn animals for offerings are you doing it now also? if not even for the real people sabbath keeper during those time it will not pass your doings now, simple matter you cannot follow 100 percent what they did before, so how can you be true to yourself and your church?
your mislead you know so better stick to this blog and you can ask to bro. eli for your enlightment..To God be the Glory!

  27. To All Lovers of Truth,

The lovers of truth uses logic, facts in order to arrive in one conclusion. We are all, no doubt believers of the bible, coz we know, it is the book of our LORD

Spiritually speaking, It is difficult to find the real truth. It requires percieverance, patience, the guidance of the Holy Spirit etc and worse, even your life will be put on the line. But once you found it, it will surely make you free.

Bro Eli has lots of supporting evidences or verses in the bible to support his claim. Bro Eli has spent 72% of his life in searching for the truth and ready to spend his belongings and the rest of his life just to share to all the people.

You repeatedly writing your masterpieces, “holy, spiritual, and good”, about the law but you never see the difference about “the old” and “the new”. Too bad for you?! Stubborn and misguided you are. Sorry to say this

    —————-

Hey leo First of all there is no new, that new is also taken from the old and therefore nothing is new. But Yes, there are amendments.

If you are really good in seeing the difference can you harmonize the ff:

The law worketh wrath (Romans 4:15)
Through the law comes the knowledge of sin (Romans 3:20)
It is the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2)

    Versus

The law is holy (Romans 7:12)
The Law is spiritual (Romans 4:14)
The law is good (Romans 7:16)

Let me see if you are not misguided and got something in your brain!

  29. To Adventist777

YOU STATED: “Think not that I have come to abollish the LAW and the PROPHETS; I HAVE COME NOT TO ABOLISH THEM BUT TO FULFILL THEM

    ———–

Which law must Christ fulfill? The Law of Moses? So stupid! That law is not intended for him! Even for a newly born child, you can never command such laws! Should you tell a newly born child “thou shall not kill”? Much more with Christ! Stupid!

1Ti 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

Is Christ righteous? Answer that! If your answer is yes, then the law of Moses is truly not intended for Christ!

    ————

Bear in mind that there are many laws being mentioned in the scriptures! Do not hastily conclude that it only pertains to the law of Moses.

Rom 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

This is just for your information.

    ————-

Which law then must Christ fulfill? Definitely those which are commanded for him to fulfill “CONCERNING HIM”! But it is clear that it is not the law of Moses intended for Israel because it was not intended for a righteous man.

    To prove this:

Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

You see? “CONCERNING ME”! Why mention that term if Christ would be fulfilling the same law that Israel must follow?

Even in the book of Psalms there are things written concerning Christ that he must fulfill. Let us prove one prophecy that he must fulfill “CONCERNING HIM”.

Psa 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Is this included in the 10 Commandments or rather a prophecy “CONCERNING CHRIST” that he must fulfill?

If Christ would be fulfilling the same 10 Commandments given by Moses intended for Israel, then there wouldn’t have been a need for Christ to mention “all things must be fulfilled … “CONCERNING ME”

Even a grade schooler who is in his right sense of thinking could easily understand that. Sadly, foolish religious fanatics won’t be able to, unless they humble themselves and admit their own errors in the sight of God.

Read Bro. Eli’s articles again and again brother. Stop being a blashphemer, repent and may God have mercy on your soul.

  30. And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart ,
And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elijah talking with him.
Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.
While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said,

This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; HEAR YE HIM.
    Matthew 17:1-5
    King James Version

The above verses will tell us that we should only hear to our Lord Jesus Christ. That is why in Christian dispensation, the law of Moses cannot sanctify anymore. Jesus Christ succeeded Moses and his priesthood.

That is why after the disciples heard the voice, they have lifted up their eyes and saw Jesus only. They had not seen anymore Moses and Elijah.

8And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. Matthew 17:8

    think about this verse..

(Hebrews 8:13) “In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.”

  33. Bro. Beda,

You said, “Bro Eli has spent 72% of his life in searching for the truth and ready to spend his belongings and the rest of his life just to share to all the people.”

    This is a very intelligent stat. I agree! 17 / 60 = 0.28. 1 – 0.28 = 0.72. 72% indeed!

    But with this included:

Galatians 1:15  But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,

…I should say a hundred or more.

  37. Isa 1:13 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.
Isa 1:14 Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.

    • Beiruth, are you quoting this verse with the intention to show that the Lord hates things such as sabbaths and other religious celebrations?

If so, you need to look at the context of why this was written in the book of Isaiah. These things were prophesied in a time when sin and evil were abounding in the land of Judah. God was saying to them that he hated the oblations, incense, new moons, sabbaths, assemblies and feasts that the Jews were celebrating because they were doing this in vain. All these things, which were originally intended to draw them closer to God, were being done despite the fact that they continued to lead corrupt, sinful lives – therefore making these celebrations and feasts meaningless and even an abomination to the Lord.
