I have watched a segment of the famous “Oprah” talk show (see video below), and my curiosity and attention was caught when some of the audience seems to have ‘cornered’ the host when they insisted that the only way to heaven is through the Lord Jesus Christ. What they are saying is ‘a’ truth.
(John 14:6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
The eloquence and the intelligence of Oprah manifested in her arguments when she said, “How about those people who have not heard of Jesus?”
Oprah was right, after all. It just happened that she does not want to enter into religious arguments with her audience; but what she is saying is reality. There are now countries, as in the past, wherein even the name of the Lord Jesus is not being heard —His gospel, not being preached. There are countless innocent people that die everyday in these places, who are not lucky enough to have a copy of the Bible or to hear the preaching of the gospel — the True Gospel. More so, there are countries infiltrated by false prophets preaching the false Christ and Jesus.
(Matthew 24:4-5, 24) And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many…
…For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Oprah (middle) known as the “Queen of Talkshow”
Even if you have heard about Jesus, but the Jesus that was introduced to you is the false Jesus or the false Christ, and your religious leader is a false prophet, is there any chance you can go to heaven?
(Matthew 15:14) Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.
(2 Corinthians 11:4) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
(Galatians 1:8) But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
It would have been better if you have not heard of Jesus than to believe in a Jesus or a Christ counterfeited by deceiving and lying religious leaders.
(2 Peter 2:21) For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
Oprah asked the audience: “If you were somewhere on the planet and you never heard the name of Jesus, yet you live with a loving heart; you live as Jesus would have had you to live; you live for the same purpose that Jesus came to the planet… you can not go to heaven, do you think?”
These are valid questions that require honest biblical answers that were ignored by the audience because of their lack of understanding of the Scriptures.
Biblically, there are those who have not heard the law, but will be justified.
(Romans 2:13-15) For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another.
There is a ‘divine instinct’ in human conscience and heart, parallel with the natural instinct that God has bestowed on our being. In occasions were a person did not have the opportunity to hear the law, but is doing the ‘things’ or the ‘essence’ of the law written by God in the heart of the human family, he will be justified or be saved; therefore can go to heaven. In fact, he may have greater chances of going to heaven than those who, after hearing the law — of Jesus, of God, and do have a copy of the Bible, but does not follow the law.
God is a God of justice, equity, unfathomable wisdom, and loving-kindness. Not so many preachers of our times know this. In fact, due to their ignorance of God’s wisdom, they have misled people to believe that only those who belong to their church will merit salvation or will go to heaven.

It is idiotic to claim that while you have not yet reached a particular country, and have not preached about Jesus, and afterwards say that only those who belong to your church or group will be saved. In the Middle East, in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), most part of China, India, in Africa, and in almost all continents of the globe, the name of Jesus is not known to billions of people and yet thousands of innocent and kind-hearted people die everyday. Is there not a way for them to go to heaven? The good news is: There is!
While it is true that Jesus said that He is the way, the truth and the life; No one cometh to the Father except by Him, it is true to those who have heard the teachings of Jesus; This statement is definitely ‘a’ truth; But, to those who have not believed because they have not heard of Jesus (faith cometh from hearing). (Romans 10:17) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God… Is there no way for them to go to heaven?
(1 Timothy 4:10) For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those that believe.
I want you to notice the phrase “especially of those that believe”. God, in His justice and omnipotence can save even those who were not able to believe or have not the capacity to believe. Let me give you irrefutable examples:
Babes and small children will go to heaven, although they have not the capacity to believe.
(Hebrew 5:13) For every one that useth milk is unskillfull in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
(Matthew 19:14) But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Reject the ‘limbo’ of the Catholic Church because it is non-sense and is not in the Bible.

Can the mentally retarded, the physically and mentally disabled persons, the mongoloids, believe and join a church? They are mentally and spiritually incapable, but the living God can save “especially of those that believe”.
The verse in 1 Timothy 4:10 gives hope to all those innocent children who were butchered by Ramsees II (during the time of Moses), King Herod (after the birth of Christ), Hitler (during the Holocaust), and so many more innocent souls, creation of God, oppressed and neglected by human society, but is loved of the Creator.
(Exodus 4:11) And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?
Remember the living God is the Savior of all men, especially of those that believe.
The whole truth is that Jesus is the Savior, the Way (the only Way) to get into heaven for those who have heard of that good news: The Gospel; but to those who have not heard the Gospel, the good news is, God will judge with mercy, and it is His right and prerogative.
(Romans 9:15) For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
(James 2:13) For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy; yet mercy triumphs over judgment. RSV
God can exercise mercy in judgment day. This is the whole truth and nothing but the truth!

I have a brother died at the age of 23 and he was just starting then listening to Bro. Eli. I saw his whole life, serving the whole family because were very poor. He suffered much in this life, until he died.
Reading this blog and everytime Bro. Eli preaches that “GOD IS THE SAVIOR OF ALL MEN” gives me hope that my brother will receive mercy from our loving God in the judgement day.

Yes, that would be absolutely great. I think Bro. Eli himself deserves more recognition and exposure, not because of what and who he is but rather on how truthfully he’s reading and teaching the word of god. I see a lot of preachers in US gaining a lot of media attention, and sadly its for the very wrong reason.
Most preachers here in US are rich, they are endorsers of products, they write books and sell it to the public for millions, and they consistely and blatantly teach the wrong doctrine. They keep telling you that 10% is necessary, so on and so forth. And yet we have a very humble,direct,honest preacher like Mr. Soriano whose being persecuted by some people who has a no clear cut view of what God has been telling us through the holy book.
Bro. Eli, Im not a member of your church, though I would love to be. I live here Virginia, USA but unfortunately there is no near Church of God here. But I religiously listen to UNTV and angdatingdaan.org everyday. This is real funny, because Im really not the religious type of guy, but when I visit Manila back in May of 2005, my grandmother was listening to you and all of a sudden, I felt like I was being pulled to listen and watch you….for no apparent reason.
To me that is the weirdest thing that has happened to me, I still cant explain it until now. The sole purpose of that visit is to have fun, drink and party with my friends, but as soon as I heard gods word from you, I started feeling guilty and scared of gods punishment.
Anyway, please keep this up. I will always try to include you on my prayers. I thank God for bringing someone like you as his instrument to spread his word.
I just hope you can visit the Maryland,Washington DC,Virginia area. There a re a lot of misinformed fanatics in these area, who refuses to listen to the word of our true God.

Your claims concerning another way to enter Heaven is a serious thing. ‘Coz such a statement refutes the power of Christ’s resurrection and the price He paid for the redemption of sins.
Are you saying that man, a sinner, can be justified through fulfilling the law even if sin exists in his life?

Although Jm mentioned something about bereans, I hope that he is not a member of the bereans, apologetics research ministry. I am just sadden on how they placed the title of our tv and radio program, Ang Dating Daan as one of the local cults of christianity. But my brothers, one thing I am proud to say, if one is really a reader of the bible, who thinks logical and biblical, they would know that Ang Dating Daan is a truth caster!

Things to Remember When Witnessing to an ADD Member
1. Do not witness with an ADD member unless you yourself are grounded in the orthodox faith of the Scripture.
2. Always say “you” and not “your group” to avoid him/her from thinking that you are attacking their “church.”

See my brethren, the evil spirits are scared of us and of our God! I find these self professed bereans, as they call themselves, very ridiculous, comparing themselves with the Bereans from the bible. Maybe they are bereans but not the Bereans who were converted to Christianity. A Berean in the bible is what you call the people who live in Berea. They were described in the bible as a group of people who received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. While those Bereans who went further to the next step of their study habits, those who believed and were baptised in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost were now called Christians. Being a Berean alone is different from being a Christian my friend. As Christians, we went through the process to become one. We study and keep on studying and follow all the commandments of Jesus which He received from God, whatsoever he commanded! Would you opt to remain as a Berean per se that learned of the Truth but never really believed, or a Christian?

How can you show respect and gentleness to people if you are a hypocrite? An example of a hypocrite is one who thinks of himself as having humility by showing politeness in speech and remarks but teaching false doctrines.

It is what the Christ as Lord’s words that we should follow, in humility; not the hypocrisy of Satan, even his words. What about respect? We are all needing to be respected in many ways. One is to be freed from deceit and lies. We need truth, we deserve the truth!

I just had a query based on the context of scripture, and you flamed on me with all those verses and stuff, which don’t apply to me at all. (and please do forgive me ‘coz I didn’t really read the whole post you made.) I can very well see your intentions and your heart el. Your main purpose in replying to me is just to belittle me and show me how stupid I am and that I am not able to interpret scripture. You therefore, (by your nature i guess) automatically stereotyped who I am and what I believe in. Basically your thinking is like this: “He’s not an ADD member, he must be utterly ignorant of scripture! There’s no use in talking to him, so I’ll just talk down to him with scripture that he may realize that his faith is utterly wrong!”(even without knowledge of what my faith really is). Do not pity yourself, just be ready to accept the fact that God is calling you now and what you previously learned doesn’t matter. Or it matters when you realized that you are now able to compare the true teaching from the false teachings that you acquired growing up.
What I know doesn’t matter too without love. And because of love, we are blogging the good news. I just used a little of statements and paragraphs and have copied a lot of verses to give you the full story behind our intention that we will not add nor subtract to which is written in the holy scriptures. But still you and other readers got it all wrong. Some Bereans are supposedly studious, to compare if what we say is right and true even the verses that we are using. But as I said, Bereans needs to progress from milk to eating meat to become Bereans converted to Christianity, and be called Christians.

There is one point that you missed in your article in “nothing but the truth” if the Jesus that was preached to the misled flocks by the false teachers is the counterfeit Jesus and not the True Jesus that is preached in the Bible they will not be saved. The missed point is the Strict Control on the flocks or the Tight Grip to the flocks by the ministers or pastors or priests whether they are true or not that they are strictly prohibited or not allowed to read the Bible, hear nor attend to other Christian denominations to know the difference like for example the iglesia ni cristo ni Manalo members are not allowed to watch your show nor listen to you in the radio or read any items about your preaching and expositions in the Bible being warned that if they will do they are committing the unforgivable sin of blasphemy to the Holy Spirit that non of us will not do because of fear of non forgiveness especially if we believe in our hearts that the preachers of the religious sect we belong are true as taught by the Lord Jesus Christ. You may say that the inc members including other Christian sects are attending your expositions and even secretly joining your flock but even they do, strict instructions have been implanted in their minds as not to believe in whatever you say. I also know that you do the same of prohibiting any of your flock to attend or listen to other Christian denominations which is considered as blasphemy to the Holy Spirit. If this is the case that all the Christian ministers, pastors and leaders whether true or not are inculcating in the minds of its members how can they (members of each group) escape to find the True Church? Correct me if I am wrong but for fairness and equity I would suggest that all (any sect) Christian of leaders, minister and pastors shall allow its members to be given the opportunity to check and decide for themselves in listening and joining other sects to see the difference and decide for themselves what (sect) they are going to join not threatening them of sin of blasphemy if they listen to others. I have never heard this argument so I will make it.
One of my main reasons for not believing in evolution is the fact that human intelligence is technically an energy source. Human intellectual capacity can be given a numerical value that would be a sum of the brains capability.
If I am right in this assumption then the question would be, how is evolution possible; how can a body with less (intellectual) energy create an object with more energy? The rules that govern energy prevent all forms of energy increase. (The rules like inertia, or equal opposite reaction, or the fact that energy can’t be created or destroyed.)
My main argument is this…
A one celled organism should not be able to create a human brain without the energy of a human mother. Nothing else in the universe is capable of self-regulated energy increase. So how come no scientist has explained what fuels evolution. It is true that cells can repeat themselves (repetition does not break any laws), but it may be impossible for an object to make itself evolve.
If my previous arguments are true then this would also mean that the human brain had to be created by an object with more intellectual capacity than itself. This may actually prove that God has to exist for mathematical reasons. We had to be created by something smarter with more energy than us. (Remember the brain can be classified as an energy source because of it’s capabilities.)
AND THAT IS THE TRUTH THAT YOU CANNOT DENY BECAUSE THE FACT IS IT IS FROM THE BIBLE AND WHO CAN STAND AGAINST THE BIBLE? ANYONE???? READ DANIEL HEHEHEHE….
