Hello Brother Eli,

Your site is great, specially your post about sugars. I, for one, have diabetes for 7 years now and been suffering greatly from it. i know you have much knowledge about this. Please help me by recommending some diet or supplements or anything that can make my blood glucose stable. i have a 10 month old son and I am only 22 years old. I want to live longer for my new family and to serve God longer with good health.

Thanks be to God and I hope even if I am just a small member of the church, I could still be given some of your important time. God bless you and we miss you dearly!

Michelle Viray (sweetchelly@yahoo.com)

Dear Michelle,

I am sorry to hear that you are a 22 year old diabetic, but your trust in God may prolong your life.

(Proverbs 10:27) “The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.”

God is the absolute healer of mankind.

(Exodus 15:26) “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for am the LORD that healeth thee.”

By this irrefutable pronouncement, God asserts His might towards those who deny His existence.

(Deuteronomy 32:39) “See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.”

I am glad to know that you are already a member of the Church, and listening to Bible studies and worship services may add to your knowledge of Christian doctrines that may lead you to a happy and comfortable life.

I am not a doctor of medicine, and therefore not in authority to prescribe any drug for your illness; but I believe that proper diet and supplementations can help you a lot in the management of your illness.

Do you eat rice? You must know that rice which consist more than 50 percent of the diet of most Filipinos and Asians contains much sugar in it, and may cause diabetes mellitus. A cup full of rice is equivalent to 10 teaspoonful of sugar so; two cupfuls mean twenty teaspoonful of sugar.

Wheat and its byproducts, and other starchy foods like, pasta, bread, and cereals are all like rice in their sugar content. So, I advice you not to take too much rice, and replace rice and bread with the bulk of raw vegetables and fruits.

Diabetes is a disease that leads to many other complications like, cardio-vascular diseases, the weakening of the kidneys, and loss of eyesight. To prevent these complications, we must understand their cause. (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/type-2-diabetes/DS00585/DSECTION=7)

· Heart and blood vessel disease. Diabetes dramatically increases the risk of various cardiovascular problems, including coronary artery disease with chest pain (angina), heart attack, stroke, narrowing of the arteries (atherosclerosis) and high blood pressure. In fact, about 75 percent of people who have diabetes die of some type of heart or blood vessel disease, according to the American Heart Association.

· Nerve damage (neuropathy). Excess sugar can injure the walls of the tiny blood vessels (capillaries) that nourish your nerves, especially in the legs. This can cause tingling, numbness, burning or pain that usually begins at the tips of the toes or fingers and over a period of months or years gradually spreads upward. Left untreated, you could lose all sense of feeling in the affected limbs. Damage to the nerves that control digestion can cause problems with nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation. For men, erectile dysfunction may be an issue.

· Kidney damage (nephropathy). The kidneys contain millions of tiny blood vessel clusters that filter waste from your blood. Diabetes can damage this delicate filtering system. Severe damage can lead to kidney failure or irreversible end-stage kidney disease, requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant.

· Eye damage. Diabetes can damage the blood vessels of the retina (diabetic retinopathy), potentially leading to blindness. Diabetes also increases the risk of other serious vision conditions, such as cataracts and glaucoma.

· Foot damage. Nerve damage in the feet or poor blood flow to the feet increases the risk of various foot complications. Left untreated, cuts and blisters can become serious infections. Severe damage might require toe, foot or even leg amputation. (http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/type-2-diabetes/DS00585/DSECTION=7)

Excess of sugar in the blood may damage the nerve endings in various parts of the body like, the limbs, and other organs. B-complex vitamins may help strengthen the cardiovascular system and the nerves. Vitamin C, E, and Omega 3 can also be of great help. Alpha-lipoic and chromium picolinate will also be helpful. If possible, choose the natural and organic supplements.

Regular exercise can be also of great help. Refrain from fatty, salty, and processed foods. Eat fresh as much as possible. Better still; consult an alternative doctor regarding your condition. I pray that God may grant you health and guidance for your family.

God Bless!

  1. I extend you my sympathy. I suffer from poor eyesight and have a weak body (which one of the reason that i should and must remain single till this body of mine with GOD’s grace in CHRIST permits) that my consolation is “that we are taught by the Mercies of GOD in CHRIST the wisdom and to know HIS Will” that i can or WE can say is far greater than any disease ever to rock babylon, persia, egypt, europe and our generation of degeneration (moral, physical, wit, enviroment, people & more to these).
    “nothing san seperate us from the Love of CHRIST (GOD),not . . . . . . . . . .. .”
    Romans 8:35
Thus saith the Lord through the apostle paul, our Hope, your hope!
    GOD Bless in CHRIST

  2. Leviticus 21:16-21

    16

    The LORD said to Moses,

    17

“Say to Aaron: `For the generations to come none of your descendants who

has a defect may come near to offer the food of his God.

    18

No man who has any defect may come near: no man who is blind or lame,

    disfigured or deformed;

    19

no man with a crippled foot or hand,

    20

or who is hunchbacked or dwarfed, or who has any eye defect, or who has

festering or running sores or damaged testicles.

    21

No descendant of Aaron the priest who has any defect is to come near to

present the offerings made to the LORD by fire. He has a defect; he must

not come near to offer the food of his God.

  3. i thank God much for you brother eli for your inspiring words. ive been praying to God to help me about my sickness and he answered me much more than what i expected. now after a series of diet (low carbs, no sugar), supplementation, and ofcourse, doing God’s commandments, i am so glad to tell you that my blood glucose already stabilized. and i lost 8 kilos in more than a month. i never felt much better.

  4. i lost 15 kilos safely by following Bro. Eli’s advices in alternative medicines. my body felt great. follow Bro Eli’s advices and iam sure they will do you good. when i said advices, i meant ALL advices. whether it concerns your physical, mental, emotional and most especially your SPIRITUAL well-being

  5. brod. eli,

I thank God because we have preacher like you.
you speaks the true word of God and also teaching us on
proper way of balance diet for everyones health. I wish to God that He give you good heath always and saves you to bad people sent by satan.

  6. Thank you so much Bro Eli, your advice to a diabetic sister is also applicable to many other brethrens with the same affliction. While you had undeniably fed the flock with the heavenly spiritual ‘bread’ continuously, your vast knowledge on health and many things you share with us has benefited many, spiritually and physically. By giving your inputs on how to be healthy and fit, I thank the LORD unceassingly, because from a 90kg overweight obese person that I was for so many years, taking assorted pills and tablets, I am now only 70 kg without any medicine, except for a simple regular excercise and attendance to our CHURCH OF GOD Thanksgiving, Prayer Meeting, and Worship services. GOD IS GREAT AND POWERFUL.

  7. Eat the natural sweets made by God.

My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:

    Proverbs 24:13
    King James Version

  8. Need to do research of ALL of medicine . Alternative /natural .. mant remedies have been used for hundreds of years and this last 20 years scientists hae investigated and can explain why they work . And why some are dangerious and some completely harmless but still have their corrective components … … 1.. “hsibaltimore.com”. 19 doctors and over 90 health professionals …. Free email newsletters and archives for you to browse ..upto date on all research around the world .. ..2 .. “cancerdefeated.com” publishing co.. editor Le Fuller ..committed to publishing all treatments for cancer and other problems … You can trust his books by various authors ….. … “RealCuresLetter.com”. Dr Schallenburger MD & ND ….he tells the best using conventional supported by alternative/natural medicine … All have free email newsletters and archives to brows

  9. Spiritually, by the measure of our faith … we receive what we believe … nothing is impossible with God … He is our healer, hallelujah !!! … and He can heal us by His word that we receive in our heart … even without the help of material things.

Materially, God has originally given man fruits and vegetables to be our physical sustenance … i believe that … diabetes is caused by the depletion of the carbohydrates/sugar breaking-down substance in our human body … because of its use in breaking-down processed carbo/sugar foods which we gave consumed/eaten … and this carbo/sugar breaking-down substance, can also be obtained from carbo/sugar-containing fruits and vegetables which when eaten raw can augment/replenish our body supply of this needed carbo/sugar breaking-down subtance that our body needs to function well.

Since this carbo/sugar breaking-down subtance … is depleted by eating carbo/sugar-containing processed foods (like rice, corn, cakes, sweets, etc.) … and replenished by eating RAW carbo/sugar-containing fruits and vegetables … i suggest that we eat a few/little of the PROCESSED carbo/sugar-containing foods and MORE of the RAW carbo/sugar-containg fruits and vegetables.

A humble suggestion from a brother in Christ … by the measure of our faith.

Glory be to God, our Creator and our Healer !!!

  10. Thanks be to God for Bro. Eli, he only not wish us well spiritually but also physically.

This blog helped me to control my cravings on sweets.

I am surrounded with sweets where I live, and so the grace of God fills me everytime I am tempted to eat high sugar content foods.

  11. Thanks be to God, even we don’t have these kind of illness at least we can prevent it by knowing how much rice can do harm to our body if taken in large quantities.hope this advise will do, for our sister who’s suffering from diabetes. and may God bless you and keep you.
