Brother Eliseo Soriano — the man, the leader and the servant — remains steadfast in his faith. Amidst all hardships, trials, and persecutions, his unwavering commitment and dedication to mankind is undeniable. He has been offering his strength, time, and love for more than four decades now, for the glory of his Creator, to prove that he is truly God’s humble messenger in these last days.
BIOGRAPHY
ELISEO SORIANO Y FERNANDO was born April 4, 1947 to Triunfo Soriano and Catalina Fernando in the City of Pasay, Metro Manila. Out of eight siblings, he is seventh to the eldest.
As a child, Eliseo was very shy. He disliked mingling with other people, save for his family. Because of his shyness, he entered school at a later age. With his parents eagerly convincing him to go to school, he finally entered at the age of eight, but he skipped his classes and escaped his teachers.
Yet compared with the other students in his class, Eliseo was exceptionally brilliant. This he had proven by sweeping majority of academic awards and recognitions. Furthermore, he was elected president of the student council and was chosen as assistant principal by their school directress when he was in high school.
But, he failed to finish high school. Barely three months before his graduation, Eliseo Soriano’s inclination leaned towards studying the Holy Scriptures. Reading the Words of GOD in the Bible interested him more and won him against continuing his education and fulfilling his dream of becoming a scientist.
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
A day before he turned seventeen, his parents requested him to accompany them to a congregational gathering at a local church in Pasay City. During the worship service, Eliseo heard Nicolas Antiporda Perez preach about the true Church of God in the Bible. He was convinced that Nicolas Perez was God-sent.
Nicolas Perez’s preaching opened an interest in young Eli’s mind to read the Bible. Unknowingly, this began a new chapter in his life.
In less than a month, Eliseo approached Presiding Minister Perez and requested to be baptized. In April 7, 1964, exactly three days after his 17th birthday, Brother Eli was baptized in Seneguelasan, Bacoor, Cavite, becoming an official member of the Church of God in Christ Jesus.
With passionate zeal to serve the Lord in his heart, Eliseo joined the ministerial class a few days after his baptism. With the help of the ALMIGHTY GOD, he turned out to be an exceptional minister of Christ. As an epitome of dedication, sincerity, and hard work, he exemplified what Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy: “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (I Tim. 4:12, KJV).
In 1969, Presiding Minister Nicolas Perez granted solely Eliseo the title of “Minister,” making him the only other minister in the Church at that time. Clearly, the aging Perez was grooming his young protégé for a future responsibility.
Since then, the years of great trials and sleepless nights began. These years marked the onset of his many sacrifices, even to the point of receiving death threats. At a tender age of 29, Brother Eliseo led a rather small flock, mostly composed of members who were older than he was.
AS PRESIDING MINISTER AND HUMBLE SERVANT OF GOD THEN AND NOW…
Sensing a divine call to share the divine Gospel of Jesus Christ, Brother Eliseo broached evangelizing through radio and television in the 1980s.
Faith in God, courage and perseverance were among the guiding forces which led him in approaching the Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation (IBC) Channel 13, and other radio stations in the country. He requested for available block time slots to air “Ang Dating Daan.” The program showcased Brother Eli’s wisdom and eloquence in answering questions about the Holy Scriptures. With that, his rally against false and pretentious pastors and preachers came about.
Aside from hosting the phenomenal “Ang Dating Daan” in radio and television, Brother Eli authored “Leaving behind the Fundamental Doctrines of Christ.” This was his first and only book written in English published in the late 90s.
Brother Eli remains unfazed and continues in his promise to serve God and humanity. He devoutly shares and teaches the Wisdom in the Bible.

Hmm… I feel we had many similarities in personality. The only thing we don’t had in common is that he is probably an INTJ while I am an INTP. I’m really shy (I don’t need to prove it, just ask the brethren who knew me much) and I am also a man of science, particularly in the field of Physics and Chemistry. After I was baptized at age 16, I feel that my mind was opened for Spiritual truths since before, I used to be relying only to physical truths. That is the only time I gained interest in studying the Scriptures. Having convinced that Bro. Eli was God-sent, I tried to follow his footsteps but I feel I had some psychological limitations that prevents me from attaining what he got. One thing I can say is, I wanted to be one of God’s little instruments in helping Bro. Eli spread the Word unto all nations, too bad I am weak in oral conversations so I can only help by writing. By the way, to God be the glory!

Thank God for a preacher like you, what you did is a truly remarkable task in exposing false doctrine especially in the Philippines where there are rampant abuses in the word of God, unscriptural ideas that exercise by other religion, unscrupulous mind of men for their personal intention, this will serve as an eye-opener to all religious leaders and their followers to think the way they express their faith with no basis that might lead them to their own condemnation.
I’m happy to say I myself accepted the Gift of the Lord Jesus Christ and righteously follow and expecting a Reward in the future. Bro. Eli has taught me what life is all about. I learned to embrace my life even the saddest part of it…accept things as they are for I know now and believe that if its the will of God it will ALWAYS be for my own good even at first glance it looks like a “dilemma”. In the past, I always say…I believe in God, but, I didn’t know His goodness behind in “every situation”. I just see HIM when my life is in accordance with what I want it to be. But when things go wrong I couldn’t find HIM, I admit. But Bro. Eli taught me the other side of life…and God is still there!!!

I don’t know him personally, nor was I able to see him in person. However, what I know is that he has been a big help in my studies regarding the Scriptures. Many people, even those who are close to me, say such terrible things about him. However, somewhere in my heart, I believe that Bro. Eli is a humble and fellow servant of the Lord.
Of course, I know that he is not a perfect individual. Some of the things that people say about him may be true or not. Nonetheless, I believe those things are the kind of matters which I can overlook out of love for him and to the One we serve.
He became important to me because we share a common a desire. I am thankful for he imparted us with knowledge regarding the Scriptures. I know for a fact that I myself have my limitations. However, in honor of our Master, I will perform my duties to the extent of my capabilities.

“I HATE THIS MAN”, the first phrase I utter when I saw him in T.V… the man with big round eyes, screaming audacious words against other preachers. My inquisitiveness made me stick in the UNTV37 for awhile; I listened to him with an angry heart and seeking some flaw on his speech. But after all, I just caught myself harmonizing with the truth that comes out from his mouth.
A query crack in my mind, “Who’s this man really is, is he just another false preacher or the real one from God?” but why don’t he perform miracles?
•But since I’ve met him, my heart that packed with hatred and anger has learned to forgive and love,
•my arrogant eyes learned to appreciate and extend compassion,
•my lips that full of deception learned to tell the truth and speak with passion,

It was when I was about 17 or 18y.o when I first saw and heard about you in tv. From that moment I knew you are the truest person when it comes to the words of God. From then on I always enjoy listening at you. Im so thankful that through you God had laid His arms for me, A hope has enliven my heart for salvation. Before, I thought bible isn’t that important that as long as you believe and have faith to God you will be saved, but then again, I was wrong, so wrong for because of you I was able to find out that bible is the living guidance, basis of of truth and righteous living. Thank you for opening my mind and heart. Before, I thought I would never find answers to my questions, thank God He send you for us.

Thanks be to GOD!!! The first thing that I can say for everything that HE gave to us and my family. I remember 8 years ago, when I had a change to ask a question to Bro. Eli in Rizal Elementary School Calamba Bible Exposition. He said to me that you must be righteous in the eyes of GOD so that your prayers be answered. So I made a decision to go on indoctrination and be baptized. Since then and right now I am an active group coordinator in our Locale through the help and teachings of God sent man Bro. Eli Soriano. Indeed Bro. Eli is a true man of God of these days. And I thank God and Brod Eli for all the good things that happened in my live and my family.

I did my job to the best that I could,after I got into a job I did not applied for, but accepted in the hope that whatever small talent and abilities I earned and learned will help the victims of crimes and corruption. I stepped on the toes of the ‘untouchables’ and the influentials. The men behind organized crimes conspired with some corrupt government prosecutors and law enforcers and filed ‘manufactured’ cases against me and my co-workers. It was too much for me, my family, and friends. Luckily for me, when the injustice and persecutions happened I was already with the CHURCH OF GOD. I cried when you Bro Eli and Bro Daniel advised me to LOVE THE ENEMY. Your words washed out the violent anger and desire for vengeance boiling in my heart that time. In prayer, I suddenly realized that my fate was nothing compared to what you Bro Eli and Bro Daniel are going through. While the enemy does not stop maligning me and searching to get me the way the wanted to get you Bro Eli, I find peace and inspiration from your continuous preaching of the words of GOD. The most important thing in this world is commonly set aside. Taking for granted the salvation and prioritizing personal undertaking. In this material world, its getting harder to set quality time for our spiritual nourishment. Religion in its truest sense is the “way of life”. Our thoughts, manner of speaking, manner of living, Do’s and dont’s, obedience to God’s law and more. Bro. Eli opened my heart and thoughts to all these.
Christian life is NOT exactly a happy life. Sacrifice and patience is part of christian living. To persevere is virtue as the saying goes. I believe I will still live a little longer, but I am looking forward in the second life where the new heaven and new earth is prepared for.

Bro. Eli, after 6 six years of searching and listening, I’m sorry for being stubborn for the last 18th wasted years in my life….. i decide to attend the indoctrination sessions last October, 2011 and before the day of Mass Baptism, in my heart…. i accept the Doctrines i hear and i follow it….. I never forget that day i was baptized…. when i was 12 years old, i being ignored to watch Ang Dating Daan but day after, i’m continued to watch your program. A years come by, i visit the Coodinating Centers in Cebu to find because i want to heard it real but i stopped attending for family reasons. After 4 years since attending Church Activities here, I almost get to Die but Thanks be to God for giving me another chance to live and i decide to joined the real Church of God….
Now, I Finally Found The Real Church. In My Life is Complete now with God. I’m So very Happy!

I have many regrets in life. Specially when I was not yet a member of the Church of God. I’ve done a whole lot of iniquities that made me weak, though I felt strong those days for I was young. Not knowing what is right, I did the unrightful things thinking that what I’m doing is right. Then I heard your preaching and conscience knocked in my heart. I listen to the words with joy like a hungry old beggar that have never tasted a meal before. God filled me with faith, hope and love. Finally a better understanding of His love. Then I started to see that all that happened at the past is God’s love to me. That I would have never appreciated righteousness if I have never been unrighteous. That all things happened for the good of those who love God (Romans8:28). I thank God for he called me in His Church and with His mercy we’ll continue walking in His words, me and my household. May the love of God be with us always and may the Glory be to Him always.
