Marshall Brain’s (author of whywontgodhealamputees.com) allegation that the Bible is full of anti-scientific nonsense is completely baseless and stupid. But we must not be surprised to find people like him who do not only doubt but, are denying the truth written in the Holy Book. The Bible tells us so.
(Matthew 19:11) “But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.”
Even the knowledge and understanding of the mysteries in the Bible is not attainable by human efforts but, is given by God.
(Mark 4:11-12) “And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.”
Because no human intelligence can fathom the deep things of God, there are those like Marshall Brain that pervert or wrestle the word of God.
(2 Peter 3:16-17) “As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.”
No wonder, people like Brain are trying all possible nonsense to malign the Bible and its source: God Almighty.

The Bible is a sealed book; and can only be understood by divine intervention.
(Luke 24:45) “Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures…”
But what kind of people are those who will not (in any manner) understand the Scriptures?
The Bible calls them wicked.

Who are the wise that will understand? Hosea 14:9 says:

The wise, the prudent, and the just will understand. No wonder anybody alleging that the Bible is full of anti-scientific nonsense is not just prudent and wise. Let us prove this.
Brain alleged that the Bible was written by primitive people who have no knowledge of science at all. Thanks for his ignorance of the kind of people who wrote the Bible. If the Bible was not divinely inspired, how can primitive people write scientific facts long before they were understood by modern science? The scientific fact that the earth is hanging on an empty space in the universe is a divine information and a scientific truth that was written by a ‘primitive’ man many thousands of years ago.

The recent findings of modern scientists, that human beings are not to be considered herbivore or omnivore, but frugivore, proves another scientific fact written by Moses in the book of Genesis many millennia ago.
(Genesis 2:16) “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat…”
There are people even scientists that believe that humans evolve from apes and other lower forms of life. They claim that evolution is guided by two important factors: Natural Selection and Survival of the fittest. If it is true that we evolve from apes, then we should have developed, by natural selection, enzymes for the digestion of cellulose like those that are very much present in apes and other herbivores; But until now, science can attest to the fact that human beings do not posses in his digestive system, the enzyme called cellulase that digest the cellulose in plants.
Saliva pH Varies Widely Among Species
The saliva pH of various species is another determinant of their natural diet. In carnivores, their saliva glands are small and secrete an acid saliva having little or no effect on starch, which makes sense since flesh is virtually starch-free. Omnivores (like pigs) have tremendous salivary glands that secrete copious quantities of starch-splitting enzymes. Humans only have one starch-splitting enzyme, versus a multitude of them in omnivores and other natural starch-eating animals. Our ptyalin is very limited. This rules us out as being true granivores (starch-eaters) which includes grains and cereals. Frugivores have salivary glands that secrete alkaline saliva, containing only moderate amounts of ptyalin, which initiates starch digestion. This tells us that humans and other frugivores can easily digest the small amount of starch contained in fresh fruits, nuts, and leafy greens, and that humans are not intended to subsist on a diet of highly starchy grain foods as many currently do. (Diabetes mellitus is largely the result of consuming large amounts of refined sugars and starches. Even eating predominantly of whole grains and natural legumes as dietary staples can be injurious because of the need for excessive starch digestion). Another striking truth is that, although humanity has, for thousands of years, been consuming grains and starchy foods, his system has not developed the right enzyme necessary to break down or digest starches in raw grains and cereals. If evolution is true, as other anti-Bible scientists believe, mankind (in its long history) consuming such food stuffs must have developed the necessary digestive enzymes needed for the proper assimilation of this foods in their raw states. The fact that the human body has all the enzymes necessary to digest all nutrients in a fruit (especially its sugar content that is food for the brain), proves that we are frugivore; and proves the scientific excellence and knowledge in the Bible written by supposedly primitive men.
In summary, meat is not a suitable item of diet for humans for the following physiological reasons:
1. Flesh eating animals have a short intestine and bowel enabling them to rapidly expel the putrefactive flesh, while humans have a long, complicated alimentary canal which enables plant nutrients to be slowly absorbed and assimilated;
2. Flesh eaters have a different type of intestinal bacterial flora than non-meat eaters (including humans);
3. Flesh eaters have long sharp teeth, whereas humans have the teeth of frugivores; 4. Humans can grind their jaw, but flesh-eaters cannot: their jaws move vertically only;
5. Humans sweat through their skin (as do other non meat-eaters such as horses, cows, monkeys, antelopes etc.) whereas flesh-eaters sweat through their tongues;
6. Humans suck their liquids, whereas carnivores lap their liquids;
7. Human saliva contains ptyalin (to commence starch digestion), whereas flesh-eaters have no ptyalin;
8. Flesh-eaters secrete 10 times the quantity of hydrochloric acid in to the stomach than does a human (at a concentration much greater as well). This enables carnivores to cope with ingested bone, flesh, feathers, sinews, etc. True meat-eaters take nourishment from practically the whole prey not just muscle and selected organ meat as do humans;
9. Carnivores have large livers to aid in detoxifying the blood, and to generate massive bile secretion, but humans have a comparatively smaller liver.
10. Carnivores generate the enzyme uricase to metabolize uric acid, a naturally occurring waste product in meat. Humans do not generate nor metabolize uricase. As a result, uric acid is absorbed, which leads to age-related disease. When humans started eating meat they did not over a period of thousands of years, develop fangs, claws, the ability to secrete uricase, or the concentrated hydrochloric acid solution which characterizes true carnivores. You need but examine the Eskimos who, perhaps, have eaten meat the longest to confirm this. Species adapt very slowly to changed environmental conditions. Another top of the line scientific knowledge written by supposedly primitive men that highlights the scientific supremacy of the Bible is written in 1 Corinthians 15:39.

The apostle Paul has no knowledge at all of the DNA or the genes in any living flesh. When he wrote that human flesh is different from animal flesh, he is writing scientific information that will only be understood by humanity through the science of genealogy.
Genealogy is a new branch of science that studies the genes and the DNA of living organisms. It is wonderful to know that although, physically, there seems to be no difference at all between a human and an animal flesh, but by the study of the DNA in humans and that of animals, science was able to determine the exact difference of the two — proving that the Bible is a no-nonsense and is not an anti-scientific book.
The recent study of human DNA can trace where on earth civilization has started. The fact discovered by DNA scientists has established the trail from where global population originated: and it points to where, according to the Bible, Adam and Eve first lived.
There are hundreds of modern scientific informations written in this supposedly primitive book which we can not tackle and finish on one posting; but I believe that anybody with ‘brains’ can perceive and see the glaring truth that the Bible has in its pages. I pray to God that their brains be fed by sugars from a fruit and not the protein from an animal, which is the delight of carnivorous people.

If the Bible said something about the region of space caused by the death of a star where light cannot escape, then that would be something. Notice that the concept of space, star, and light are already well understood during Biblical times.
Also, the Bible got it wrong as well—the earth is actually not hanging. In fact it is moving together with all other objects as part of the remnants of the Big Bang. If the Bible said that as well, that it was moving together with the celestial objects, then maybe we will have something there.
And he disproves the theory of evolution because of the lack of an enzyme that is found in apes but not found in humans? I suggest he do more research. Humans (Homo Sapiens) are actually part of the biological family Hominidae, or “the great apes”, which also chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans. This means that humans did not evolve from chimps, gorillas, and orangutans but instead they share a common ancestor.
People should learn not to use the Bible as a science book. Otherwise people will say that the universe was created in 6 days.

Bro. Eli didn’t say ” empty place in the north ” is a proof of black hole. He only mentioned “black hole” because he said that it was a remnant of a dead star according to science. The issue here is about stars that are waxing old. The verse psalm 102:25-26 tell about stars are getting old. They are not permanent. And this is amazing because this was written before mankind develop hubble telescope.
Another thing, even the Earth is moving together with other objects as you reiterated but the Earth still hangs on nothing! you don’t discount anything here that has been explained.

what paul was saying was not a scientific information, he was just stating the obvious. in fact it’s wrong to say, that only humans and animals have different DNA and genes when

I believe in God and also in evolution as well. The Bible is not a science book, but a book of redemption. Genesis is not meant to be a scientific treatise, but to describe a spiritual hierarchy that points to mankind.
One more thing, in one show in National Geographic, there is one specie of baboons that have a pair of large fangs for males but their diet is vegetarian. Their teeth are used to fight other males for control over their harem.
Ergo, I think it’s pretty awkward to judge a specimen’s diet by tooth sizes and appearances alone. What is more awkward though is to declare that evolution is false by such little information alone. I went to that website and the author mentioned that many of the Great Apes are frugigarians as well.

In fact, if he read closely, primates such as chimpanzees are also frugigarians, and evolutionary speaking, they are our biological “cousins” from our primary ancestors, the great apes.

Because I met one and he’s my friend back in the Philippines. I also have another question. If the idea of evolution is right, the apes should have been already extinct in our world, right. No, in evolution, mutations are random and not all populations can acquire such mutations.
Your friend may look like a horse, but I’m sure he has teeth that enable him to consume both meat and vegetables. Horses aren’t capable of such. I’m sure he also has hands and feet similar to yours and to any other primate. Horses don’t have those either. You see, even if evolutionists play your game, they won’t conclude that your friend came from horses.

I’m just a one time visitor but alas I thought I’d put down my own views.
I have to say that after a quick read I agree with some of what Bro. Eli says, however I do have a few qualms with what he and some of the Christians here say. I also have a few qualms with what the evolutionists here say too.
For those who seem to be going on about evolution not existing, I would like to challenge that mindset (but not necessarily assume that you’re wrong) by mentioning that humans have evolved to some extent during even written history, as some of us are no longer as vulnerable to the myriad of diseases et cetera out there (I say some of us because as more recent history shows only certain populations developed counter-mechanisms against certain diseases, thus why when Europeans started colonising Australia, many of the original indigenous population became infected and badly ill and even died due to Europeans spreading viri etc which they had immunity to). Additionally due to genetic diversity, humans constantly interbreeding with each other, constant exposure to viri like AIDS et cetera many populations right now are still changing and it will never end. Sadly however survival of the fittest does to some extent exist in humanity as certain populations with less dominant genes become integrated into new ones. So I find it incredibly hard to discredit evolution theories at least to that extent.
However I do not believe that humans evolved from a common ancestor of anything not as sapient as us. Theoretically it is possible according to evolution, however my main qualms with that theory is that it would seem logical (at least to me) if a population of some primate did start to diverge, that it would still stay in contact enough with the original population to give whatever genetical variations it gained back to the original population. And @ “WOLVERINE!”: I agree haha. Seriously – I reckon the only way you can get something out of nothing is simply via the sheer fact that there is (or ‘was’ because now this fact exists) nothing. And that I guess would probably be assuming that the big bang or equivalent was caused by an intense and all knowing information-based lifeform. Which would probably = God. Although thinking about it hurts my head.
