The Church that Awaits the Seventh-Day

Apparently, they are not waiting for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ as they claim. The name of their church means they are waiting for the arrival of the “seventh day”.   Whether in grammar or in logic, the emphasis of the Adventists is on the seventh day or Saturday.  Let us study their  doctrines:

In their book, Seventh Day Adventists Believe, page 224:

The true church was founded by God in Christ. (Hebrews 3:4)

“For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.”

In the first century of our common era, how can a church founded by Ellen G. White be the true church when it was founded on a different date and setting?  A woman like White has no biblical authority whatsoever to establish or even to lead the true chuch.  (1 Tim. 2:11-13)

“Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.  But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.  For Adam was first formed, then Eve.  And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.”

The Christian doctrine is crystal clear on this aspect that a woman cannot be  a leader of  the true church.  A woman must  be under subjection to man who is under Christ: Just as Christ is under the authority of the Father, so is the woman under the authority of man. (1 Cor. 11:3)

“But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.”

The Bible, even in prophecy, have warned God’s people that a woman leader will mislead God’s people. (Isa. 3:12)

“As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.”

There are so many available evidences that will prove of the errents in the teachings of  White.

1. Sunday worship is the mark of the beast.

Obviously, White and her cohorts do not know the biblical meaning of worship.  How can anybody, in his rightful mind, say that sunday worship is the mark of the beast when the apostles assembled themselves to pray and worship God on Sunday?  (John 20:19)

“Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.”

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

The apostle Paul, together with other Christians, assembled, broke bread, prayed, and preached on a sunday. (Acts 20:7)

“And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.”

The church in Corinth and in Galatia were commanded to do  the collections on sundays (logically, while they are gathered together).  (1 Cor. 16:3)

“And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.”

In their vain effort to prove that Christians assembled themselves on saturdays, SDAs has blasphemed the Holy Spirit of God who was present in all Christian gatherings when they claimed that sunday worship is the mark of the beast.

The fact is, we can worship God in any day of the week.  (Acts 2:46-47)

“And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”

Sunday worship was done by Christians.  It was only the malicious mind of  White that can possibly conclude that sunday worship is the mark of the beast.

  1. Well that’s how you crush a false doctrine down the ground, by biblical proof and not just by running your big mouth without any written proof from the Bible. These so called preachers need to learn a thing or two from Bro. Soriano on how to divulge biblical teachings.

If anybody opposes this then you should answer this article and show us evidences from the Bible that Mr. Soriano is misleading people. But until then, we hope to see more of these kinds of article from you Bro. Eli.

    • to be honest? he didn’t even show the full doctrine about the Sabbath or Sunday as mark of the beast… he just showed how much he disdained Ellen White for not “shutting” her mouth and becoming submissive. Mr jd, how would you say that he has divulged a false doctrine if he has not even showed the entirety of what the SDAs stand for with regards to (1) sabbath doctrine, (2) what is an adventist and what a seventh day adventist means (which he did not even correctly address), and (3) ellen white. and to you sir, did you even check the context of the so-called “bible proof” mr. soriano included?

before anyone should judge, you should read everything, not just what you want to see. This “exposition” is not even touching on the entire doctrine of the Sabbath. plus, one verse alone cannot explain a doctrine, let alone argue or discuss about it. a doctrine is the makings of a foundation and it should be strong. you can’t just make a foundation from a nail (literally, just a nail). you have to add more than one verse from both old and new testament. Not a just a verse, which poses shallow ground and lack of evidence. Did you read and analyze the entire chapter of where the verse was found?

      • Your blind! Ellen G. White prophesied! and failed! and He accused God himself who made the mistake! case close!

  2. One thing that I’ve observed with Seventh Day Adventists is that they are all mixed-up with their definition regarding the day of sabbath and they day of gathering. They should listen more to our broadcasts hosted by Bro. Eli Soriano so that they will know the difference.

    • SDAs are practicing Sabbath believers and believe in Christ’s Second Advent. They are NOT “awaiting the arrival of the sabbath day” but follow Sabbath worship as a sign of God’s rest – a sign between God the Creator and the Created (Fourth Commandment). Unfortunately ***SOME*** person got his logic all wrong !!!

      • “***SOME*** person got his logic all wrong !!!”, roylopez said. So admit it, roylopez . You and your group of sabadistas got your logic wrong. You’re living in the past. And not only did you get your logic wrong, but you also got the entire commandment of God all wrong.

You need to ask Bro. Eli so that you will get it right. And tell your co-sabadistas to ask Br. Eli, too. It’s free consultation. 🙂

      • to:Roylopez;

Actually, what illogical and nonsense is the name “iglesia adventista del septimo dia”(spanish) which means the church of the seventh day adventists. The name itself shows that this church awaits the seventh day because if it’s not the name name should be the church of the adventist seventh day, which I believe will not be acceptable to you.

      • Roy.. you used the fourth commandment as your basis. 4.Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. The law of Moses was fulfilled by Christ’s death and resurrection. If you base your position on a law which was changed, maybe you need to change churches. Hebrews 7:12
For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

        Luke 16:16
The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

      • Still, it is all wrong to say that Sunday worship is the mark of the beast. God must be worshipped at all times.

    • The name Seventh-day Adventists means that they believe in the seventh day as the Sabbath as it is written in the ten commandments (Ex. 20:9-11) and are awaiting the Second Coming of Christ(John 14:1-4). They look to Ellen White as a prophet and the role of the prophet is to be the eyes of the church(1 Sam 9:9) to bring the message of God to His church so that the church would not be in darkness regarding God’s law. So when there is no law there are no prophets(Lam 2:9).

  3. Truly indeed, base from the Bible, Ellen G. White has no right to be a leader. May God enlighten the hearts and minds of all the members of Seventh Day Adventist.

  4. I thank GOD always for giving us HIS MEN, Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel, who always take the risk of loosing their lives and properties to lead, care, and love not only us but all who are thirsty for the word of GOD.
How pitiful are they whose leaders are hiding in their air-conditioned rooms.
Seldom we see religious leaders preaching. Their members need an appointment to be able to meet them.
I am inviting you to be a member of the CHURCH OF GOD INTERNATIONAL which is being led by heroes and men of GOD, and be one of those who praise and shout, THANKS BE TO GOD FOR HIS UNSPEAKABLE GIFTS!

  5. Ellen G. White just don’t really know anything about it, she just relied on her own and not on the bible. She’s a woman who doesn’t learn how to shut.

Worshipping God any day is not wrong, worshipping God in spirit and in truth is the key to our own salvation.
Bro. Eli is right, the only preacher in our time who teaches the truth from the bible.

Let’s pray for those who are strayed by false preachers. I wish that someday, they realize that they were decieved.

  6. Here is another beautifully vile example of what you and I have been talking about recently, Soriano – the ability of religion to make intelligent people believe, say and do things that they would know to be utterly wrong if they did not have that religion to “guide” them.

Your belief in the Christian God and the Christian Bible allows – nay, DIRECTS you to regard one full half of the human population as inferior to the other. In your world, women are exactly as inferior to men as men are to Christ, and since presumably you don’t think that men are even close to being on equal footing with the Son of God/God, this huge inequality becomes enshrined in your everyday attitudes and dealings with women. It is impossible for a man who truly believes these verses not to look down on women, and (almost worse) it is impossible for a woman who also believes them not to look down on herself.

Men and women, wake up. Don’t believe these lies, I beg you. Yes, your Bible instructs you in sexism and misogyny – that is a big glaring clue to rational people that all is not well as regards the “truth” and “goodness” of said book. To anyone who is NOT rational, however (because they look to a grossly disturbing ancient patriarchal system for “wisdom” and “truth”), it serves as an excuse to perpetuate wrongful treatment of women because of the false belief that men have a God-given superiority over them.

As far as Seventh Day Adventists go, Soriano, they are not a jot more or less deluded than anyone else who claims “revealed truth”, whether they think they have found it in a book or by special personal communication with a God itself.

Neither their claims nor yours stand up to intelligent scrutiny.

    Peace.

    • KT- TREBOR—– i suggest you go back and read again , i think youjust misunderstood what
was being discuss here, theres no mention of disregarding women….although it sometimes hurt to hear the truth. just go back and read between the lines and try to open your mimd.
I hope you will be guided…….

    • @KT_trebor:

If you wish to be authoritative and be taken seriously, you should at least have shown that sense of propriety by citing to us the basis/reference of your contentions.

Having failed to do so,your mere personal opinion does not hold water. It is totally baseless and unfounded to say the least.

You cannot arrogate unto yourself the entitlement of judging what is right and what is wrong especially without full knowledge (about matters in question) acquired from credible source.

Your opinion is there but we need truth and real words of wisdom.

Hope you do not just articulate and opine but instead, try to prove your case by presenting better basis and reference!

    • KT_trebor i think you just misunderstood what was written there , or what was Bro. Eli wants to say , if you have questions you can ask him , surely , his answers satisfies you ..

    • Therefore, KT_trebor is an agnostic/ an evolutionist/ an atheist… In KT_trebor’s illusory world, he himself is god and there is no almighty

      Creator in his fantasy-filled brain.

KT_trebor has the guts to assume this, “You believe God, therefore, you are not intelligent. You are intelligent, that’s why you don’t believe

      God.

Perhaps, KT_trebor never had the slightest feeling of love for anybody — not for his mother, father, siblings, relatives, friends, neighbors,

classmates, strangers. Pehaps, KT_trebor lives in an isolated island in a cave where he hunts odd insects for food.

On a second thought, those odd insects that he hunts for food are more than enough proof that a loving God provides foor for him.
Well, if KT_trebor has that intelligence that he proudly connotes in this blog, then he should have realized that he may be a grouchy,

obnoxous cave man but God, the Almighty Creator still gave him odd insects for food.

    • to kt trebor

To anyone who is NOT rational, however (because they look to a grossly disturbing ancient patriarchal system for “wisdom” and “truth”), it serves as an excuse to perpetuate wrongful treatment of women because of the false belief that men have a God-given superiority over them.

I have a question to you KT TREBOR,

Is there a verse in the Bible that the belief that men have a God given superiority over women is a false belief? Do you mean that this belief is not Biblical? Give us your basis of what you are saying.
Bro. Eli supplied you many verses in the Bible that Hellen G. White is not sent by God to be a leader of His people and that is all Biblical! But what you are saying has no proof, why? You did not sight any verses to prove your argument.

    • @KT_trebor:

u really misunderstood. it’s not the rights of women on how to live in the society they are talking about. it’s about the rights of women to lead inside the REAL CHURCH OF GOD.

    • Again, people who regard themselves INTELLIGENT are often misled because they refuse to open their mind. IT IS HARD TO FILL A CUP THAT’S ALREADY FULL. In defense of Christ’s teaching that women be submissive, He also taught men to handle women with care.

In our society today, most women demand their equality with men, in almost everything. The result is somewhat disheartening, as more and more homes are broken because wives continuously nag their husbands and would not learn to submit themselves in dire desire to prove their equality. As a result furthermore, more and more men are becoming less noble when it comes to dealing with women. And I probably understand why. They are probably thinking that if women could be equal with men in rights, then she should also be equal in responsibilities.

But the point in this blog is not really the status of men and women. Nevertheless, you musn’t judge that the members of our Church have such attitude (looking down on women). You have to be involved to be able to opine with sufficient bases.

Lastly, please do not mock the existence of God. It is better to exist believing there is God and die to know there isn’t than to exist believing there is no God and die to find out there is. I am not saying that God’s existence is doubtful, NO, God is existing and we owe HIM for our existence. You might as well ponder on these things, for you might already be creating war with the ONE who has power over you.

  7. Very Brief and consise!

Even a garbage collector can fully understand Bro Eli’s exposition about Errorneus teachings of Ellen G. White-SDA FOUNDER.

Thank God We have Bro Eli in this Generation.

May God Take Care You Always Bro ELI, We hope to see you soon here in the Philippines!“We Miss You!

  8. HONOR AND GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST. May the Peace of the Almighty be upon you Bro Eli, Bro Daniel, KNPs’, TPs’, workers, members of the Church of God International, and fellow bloggers.

Yes Bro Eli, that is the problem with a church that at the very start is already wrong. The seventh day adventist has a defective doctrine, thus it can not withstand scrutiny, no matter how simple nor shallow.

To correct their blasphemous doctrines, the best way, is for them to be in this blog and better still, attend our ever growing continuous worldwide mass indoctrination. With a repentant heart they might be blessed with a fortune to grasp GOD’S TRUTH through the teachings of Bro Eli and Bro Daniel.

Thanks GOD for protecting you Bro Eli from the vicious persecution of the enemy from the corrupt government of arroyo in the Philippines and the ‘fake churches’. We will always pray for you, and listen to you Bro Eli.

    • @ rhina cruz

I respect your opinion, but it would better if you can make your allegations with facts that are not base on opinions or what your leader is saying or else you may look foolish as they are… contact me so we can reason together. weareone711@hotmail.com

  9. This article is the kind of “religious corruption” exposition (supported by biblical facts as usual) that will definitely give the false prophets of the church that awaits the seventh day, series of sleepless night.

The deceivers will forever be hounded by the irrefutable biblically based arguments of the only sensible preacher in this generation, the ‘nightmare’ of false prophets.

  10. To GOD be the glory!Again brother eli is teaching us about the day of worship. It’s cristal clear explaination from the words of GOD.

And now the seventh day adventist teaching has problem. To the members of this church think twise study, and listen to brother Eli Soriano always where you can find true doctrines.

Go ahead brother Eli preach it.I’m very proud to be the member of this
    MCGI.

  11. To the unbelievers it’s better to open this website than to listen the false preacher.
It’s better to read bro.Eli’s blog than to read false religion magazines, and pasugo. It is true that the true CHRISTIAN And it’s teaching is the source of truth.

  12. There is nothing like our preacher Bro. Eli Soriano. he has a distinctive teachings that all base in the Bible and cannot be found in other religious group. Thanks be to God for that for his Glory is everlasting.

The nightmare of the False Prophet is at hand.

Do you have any Questions? The Bible will answer, ask Bro. Eli Soriano…

  13. Always Glory be to GOD!!! I’m a woman too, but having been indoctrinated in the Church of God on the role of women in the church I have submitted myself willfully to the teaching of God (not by Bro Eli). Upon hearing the word of God on how should a women must carry herself, though I myself formerly believed in the equality of the so called by the world “equality in sex” there is no basis in the Bible, I have succumb to the will of the almighty. For some women their “ego” is hurt by what Bro. Eli is saying (not from him but from the Bible) and they will not accept it in their self without God intervening to enlighten their hearts. In all angle even if women may deny or not accept it, always the word of God will prevail. Bro Eli said we are just God’s creation we don’t have the right to questioned God and I have faith that God has his reasons.

  14. may our God always be w/ you Bro. Eli .. and may our God grant our prayers to see you here in the Philippines , esp. to those brethrens who will not yet see you in personal .. we love you , Bro. Eli .

  15. The SDA’s teachings are certainly messed up… They say that it’s the 10 Commandments that still rule nowadays and yet they practice baptism that was nowhere to be found in Moses’ teachings… Thanks to God, thru Bro Eli, God made this clear to me more than 8 years ago!

    • The Seventh-day Adventist still uphold the ten commandments because it was the teachings of Jesus to keep the commandments. Jesus came to fulfill the law not to destroy it(Matt 5:17). Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments(John 14:15). Also in John’s epistle he says that if we know God we would keep His commandments( 1 John 2:3-7).

    • This is my reply to KAPPI-PPC.

Matthew 5:17-19 – “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

Consider what Jesus said here. He was talking about God’s moral law, which are the Ten Commandments. He came not to destroy or abolish the law, but to fulfill it: by teaching us how to observe the law and being the perfect example of how to live according to the law of God.

Just because baptism isn’t in Moses’ teachings does not mean that we Seventh-day Adventists do not practice it. I would like to correct your perception… we our not limited to “Moses’ teachings.” In fact, many of Moses’ teachings were civil laws and ceremonial laws such as sacrifices, etc. which were all a foreshadow of Christ’s sacrifice for our sins. After Christ died, there was no need for such ceremonial law. But God’s moral law, which are the Ten Commandments, still stands until today.

Baptism was believed and practiced by Jesus even though he did not need to be baptized. Same goes for the Law… Jesus did not practice the Law because he was bound by it; Christ is God, who is the creator of the Law and is above the Law! But he practiced the Law in the way it was intended it to be (in contrast to the hypocritical practice of the Pharisees) in order to show us how to live righteously.

I am not saying that Christians are saved by obeying the law. We are saved by grace through faith.

Ephesians 2:8,9 – “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Obeying the law is just our response to being saved by God’s grace. Obeying the law is simply an expression of a Christian’s love for God. Jesus summed up God’s law in this statement:

Matthew 22:37-40: “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

John 14:15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

    • Whoever said that Seventh-day Adventists beliefs and practices are limited to the Old Testament, or, more particularly, the Ten Commandments? Absolutely not! Seventh-day Adventists practice baptism because they believe in Christ’s teachings as well. The Ten Commandments and Christ’s teachings DO NOT contradict each other; rather, Christ elaborated on the law itself and taught us the proper way to observe them as God intended it to be. Whether it was concerning adultery, killing, or keeping the Sabbath day, Jesus sought to correct the misperceptions of the Jews on how the laws were to be observed (they had become too legalistic to realize that all those laws hang upon the greatest commandments mentioned by Jesus).

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Matt 22:37-40.

Jesus came not to abolish the law but to fulfill it, and He observed each of the Ten Commandments perfectly, unlike the hypocritical Pharisees who thought that they were observing the law but did not have what was most essential: Love.

Mat 5:17-18 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”

  16. @antonio: i have been wanting to join the Church of God since i was in high school where i learned about the news from the Bible. i am still looking for locales near where i am currently residing (which is in cainta). i have visited the locale in acacia lane in mandaluyong once but failed to come back again. but i am ready now. i hope you can help me find a nearer locale for me.

    God bless!

    • lady nila;
      Greetings!

I’m not really sure if you’ve received replies as per your post. I lived in Cainta way back 2008, in San Andres, but back then I still wasn’t in the Church of God.
I don’t have all the locale addresses in Cainta as well but I’ll try to see if I can find out next week.
The locales I know, though it’ll be in Pasig, are the ff: Locale of Westbank. This is located about 500 meters away from Jenny’s [the overpass], along the road going to Marikina.
Next would be Locale of Pasig, which is located at the back of Pasig City Hall.
Another one would be the Locale of Edsa-Cubao, which is right beside MAKRO along Edsa-Cubao. If you are working and have different schedules, this would be a viable solution because they have regular and special indoctrination sessions.

I will post another reply for you once I have more info about locales in Cainta.
I pray you’ll be guided as you seek God’s true church.

    • lady nila prado, let me give you the phone number being televised on UNTV station. Call this number and ask for addressed or sketches of nearets local to your residence. 4558484, 4558480, 4558482. It’s Ang Dating Daan Coordinating Center. And someone will answer any of your question.

    • Hi, where in cainta are you residing? We have plenty of locales in that area. The most suitable perhaps is Lokal ng Cainta which is just a few walks away from the village entrance of Cainta Greenpark Village. You don’t enter the village, it’s along the roadside…

      Thanks to God!

  17. I observed that when the Old Testament is not in favor of your own set of beliefs, you simply dismiss it as applicable only to the Jews or “Israelites” and not to present-day Christians. But when it is in favor of your own set of beliefs, you also quote it as basis of your answers. Why is that so? How do you know when is it applicable to whom and when is it not without being bias to your own set of beliefs? Please enlighten me. Thank you.

    • @Espogi4

I’m not Bro. Eli but here is what I learned from him.

You can use the Old Testament as basis for faith since it’s from God as well.

      2 Timothy 3:16
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,”

But some instructions in the OT are replaced by Christ with non-flesh-oriented doctrines like the forgiveness of sins by the blood of Christ, etcetera.

      Hebrew 8:13
“In that He says, “A new covenant, ” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.”

In case of dilemma, Christians must listen to Christ, not to Moises nor Elias.

      Matthew 17:3-8
… [5]While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” …

  18. One more thing. I’m not good in grammar and logic so I need you to explain this passage to me. It’s found in Luke 11:42.

“But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God; these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.” (KJV)

My question is: Does this passage, in any way, suggest doing away with tithing? Thank you.

    • @Espogi4

Bro. Eli can correct me on this. The one Jesus Christ was saying in that verse that needs to be done were judgment and love of God, not tithing. If you notice it says there that they were already tithing but neglect judgment and love of God. That’s why Jesus said “these ought ye to have done”.

    • When Jesus said this, he did not mean that tithing has to be done away with. He was against the hyprocrisy of the Pharisees. Jesus meant that it is good to do one thing (tithing) for as long as we don’t neglect the other (justice and love for God). Tithing is a way of demonstrating your faith in God, but it is useless and hypocritical if you do not show love, generosity, and mercy towards other people.

  19. With due respect to the text provided by bro. Eli soriano,1. Acts 20:7,its was a statement that paul preached to them ready to depart tomorrow,we can preach any day, but to its not saying to keep that day holy..2. 1 corinthians 16:3 Paul was saying that to collect offeirngs that when he comes no collection be made but to hear him preach.again no command to keep it holy…3. Acts 2:46,47..we can worship God any day of the week but there is a expressed command by God to keep the seventh day holy…No scriptural autority or command to keep Sunady holy.. To wit: Remember the sabbath day to keep it holy.. Exodus 20:8 vs ? no texts.. God bless

  21. Let me edit my previous post, and continue expounding on my assumption that KT_trebor is a grouchy and obnoxous cave man and an agnostic/ an evolutionist/ and/or an atheist.

Why is KT_trebor an agnostic/ an evolutionist/ and/or an atheist?

Answer: In KT_trebor’s illusory world, he himself is god and there is no almighty Creator in his fantasy-filled brain.

Proof: KT_trebor has the guts to assume this, “You believe God, therefore, you are not intelligent. You are intelligent, that’s why you don’t believe God.

Why is KT_trebor a grouchy and obnoxous cave man?

Answer: KT_trebor never had the slightest feeling of love for anybody — not for his mother, father, siblings, relatives, friends, neighbors, classmates, strangers.

Proof: KT_trebor lives in an isolated island in a cave where he hunts odd insects for food.
🙂 On a second thought, those odd insects that he hunts for food are more than enough proof that a loving God provides food for him.

Conclusion: If KT_trebor has that intelligence that he proudly connotes in this blog, then he should have realized that however grouchy and obnoxous he may be due to his upbringing and environment, still, God the Almighty Creator gave him odd insects for food… and a Pentium 2 PC for blogging. 🙂

  22. Believing the SDA’s teachings about Sunday worship has the mark of the beast is unbiblical. Why?Because early Christians done their worship gathering on Sunday. It is clearly said in the Bible like what Bro. Eli read, (John 20:19)“Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.”I think that SDA has the mark of the beasts!

    • Gathering together on any day does not mean that that day is the Sabbath. There is no Biblical proof that the Sabbath is on Sunday. If you look on all the references where Sabbath was mentioned in the whole Bible, Old and New Testament, you will not find it saying that the Sabbath is Sunday but rather the seventh day of the week or Saturday.

In Luke 23:52-56 you see that Christ was crucified on a Friday, rested rested on the Sabbath, and then on the very first verse of the next chapter it mentions Sunday as just the first day of the week. For something more clearly, in Mark 16:1,2 it says that the Sabbath was past and early morning on the first day of the week the women came back to the tomb. Jesus also kept the Sabbath and He is our example, Luke 4:16. Jesus also when warning of the destruction of Jerusalem, He expected His disciples to keep the Sabbath 39 years after His death, Matthew 24:20. Also it was Paul’s manner to keep the Sabbath, Acts 17:2. Paul even kept the Sabbath with the Jews AND Gentiles, Acts 18:2; 13:42,44.

Now the question may come to mind, why keep Sunday as the Sabbath when there’s just so much evidence of the seventh day as Sabbath?

In Dan. 7:25, it speaks of the Anti-Christ thinking to change times and the law. Matthew 15:6.9 says that the commandments of God made none effect by the traditions of men and that in vain they worship, teaching the commandments of men.
The Catholics claim to have changed the Sabbath from Saturday observance to Sunday observance.
      Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism 3rd ed., p. 174.

“Question: Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept?
“Answer: Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her – she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday, the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday, the seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority.”

“Reason and sense demand the acceptance of one or the other of these alternatives: either Protestantism and the keeping holy of Saturday Catholicism and the keeping holy of Sunday. Compromise is impossible.
-James Cardinal Gibbons. Catholic mirror, December 23, 1893

  23. Have you tried to have a deeper study of those things???
it will be more beneficial if it is presented in a scholarly manner…

  24. Bro Eli, I thank God for your life and I pray that the Lord will continue to increase you in wisdom and knowledge of his words so that some of us who listen to your teaching will have more understanding of the scripture.
I am a born-again christian believer who have seen the work of God. I have a question to ask.
If you do not pay tithe, is it a sin? Please I would like an in-depth of what the scirpture says on this issue.

    God bless.

  26. If Jesus is not the only way, then why Jesus said that He is the way, the truth and the life and no one come to the Father except through Him. Are you saying that Jesus is a liar when He quote this? Or why bothering preaching the gospel to all the nations if God will justify us according to what we did? Why did the apostles need to be martyr goes into the land of the Gentiles and persecuted and murdered just to preach the gospel? Why? Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father because through Him, God demonstrate His own love toward us! May God have mercy on you and save your soul!
Gal. 1:8-9 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

  27. indeed! we are waiting for the 7th thousand years for heaven .. you just missinterpreted the name of the SDA .. but it has a deeper meaning .. regarding the sabbath, because it is the last issue that will makes us know which is the true follower of GOd.. because keeping it is the seal of God. but those who are willing to be enlighten and to accept the will of God including the sabbath will have the clearer understanding of the true dotrine of God! GOd bless…

  28. I agree with the observation of Espogi4. In my own opinion Eli Soriano is a fundamentalist Christian. I believe him as a man well versed in the bible and as a Christian he always put the Old Testament second only to the New Testament especially the law of Moses. The reason for this according to what I usually hear from his argument is that; “the coming of Christ revised all the laws, customs and traditions of the Jewish people”.

Therefore the laws of Moses became obsolete. Is that true?

I think not. The laws of Moses are still enforced today by people who believe in Judaism. The Seventh Day Adventist since they are Christians cannot harmonize their beliefs to the laws of Moses which is why they are easy prey for Eli Soriano in a debate.

Eli Soriano as a bible fundamentalist will always evade ideas and arguments that will explain to him how it happened that there is a New Testament.

    • It’s delicious only for beginning but it gives you pain in the end! do you want me to explain??? never mind, do research in your own. one more, take care and eat more, those things that contain high fat and cholesterol🙂.. ok, it’s just like KILLING yoursef softly, “thou shall not kill”!

  29. What is your Bible proof that God The Father in Heaven send you to be a leader of old path?
If you did not perverts the law of God why you are a sun worshiper like roman Catholic?

  30. Mr.Soriano you misunderstood the meaning of worship_ it is the reverence paid to a divine being and not to a particular date. so mark of the beast is a sign to those who change the seventh day rest to the first day. sunday keeping instead of seventh day sabbath is an act considered as “mark of the beast”. the act of changing the holliness of seventh day rest is the mark of the beast. we are not worshiping a date but Paying to a reverence to a divine being on the seventh day genesis 2: 1_3.

    • What Jezrel!?Where did you get that idea, that Bro.Eli doesnt understand the meaning of the word,”worship”?Just so you know,Bro.Eli has been preaching that the word “worship” doesnt necessarily mean day!Our basis,Rom.21:1.It is the Saturn worshippers like Ellen G.White who taught that.

  31. I thought the administrators of this website are fair in their dealings. How come they continually refuse to post my comments here? Is it because they had come to realize the weight of my points and that they fear others, including them, might be persuaded into it.

  32. I challenge all the best minds, including logicians and grammarians of Mr. Eli Soriano’s group to explain the passage below and tell the whole world, once and for all, if they truly believe that tithing is no longer taught, practiced and commanded in the New Testament.

“But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God; these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.” (Luke 11:42 KJV)

Good luck to all of you!

    • The trouble with so many religious leaders nowadays is that they use “their minds.” Only with bro. Eli is this passage applicable:

      Luke 21:13-15 says:
And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

Such that in all his teachings and in every truth that he propagates, it is God who is glorified, and not himself.

  33. I have always wanted to say this for a long time but have often foregone the thought of it.

In fairness to Mr. Eli Soriano (and his group), I salute him when he explains and defends the deity of Christ especially to those who falsely propagate that Christ was a mere human being only. By any standard of argument, the evidence of Christ’s deity as enunciated by Mr. Soriano from the Bible is overwhelming!

The problem however with other religious groups is the half-truths they espouse regarding the true and real nature of Christ. Half-truths are misleading and they are not entirely accurate.

I have no qualms when they speak of Christ as a mere human being. But when they altogether say that Christ was a mere human being ONLY, then the problem arise since it does not speak of the true and real nature of Christ as presented in the Scriptures.

That would be a case of half-truth. While it might be true in one sense, it does not however give a complete and accurate description of Christ’s real nature.

Let me explain. Christ was called the Son of Man in the Bible. By simple analogy, Christ was and is definitely a man. But Christ was also called the Son of God. It would be a twist of logic if in this instance, we deny Christ his deity. A Son of God would definitely be God as a son of man would be man!

Others will try to argue that not only was Christ been referred to as the Son of God for there are others as well that have been called sons of God in the Bible. True, but the question is, in what capacity have they been referred to as sons and even daughters of God? Was it in the same capacity as of Christ? The answer is obvious. Christ was the only begotten son of God. Others became so by mere adoption.

To those who are still at loss as to Christ’s true and real nature, Jesus’s own question to his first disciples is revealing: “Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?”, “But whom say ye that I am?”.

  34. If Ellen G. White were alive today, I would like to see her being embarrassed in front of Bro. Eli.

  35. I pity those who are new to the Christian faith who had been misled and deceived by the so-called Bible “genius”. Had they thoroughly examined the Scriptures before committing themselves to Mr. Soriano’s group, then they would not have been dragged into the pit of falsehood and lies from where they now find themselves gasping for escape. To reiterate, half-truths are misleading and very dangerous! Don’t you think it’s about time to reconsider your belief while you still have the chance to do so? Don’t you think you had been fed with half-truths by the man you believed to be Bible “genius”? The choice is yours!

  36. i’m pity of all of you.. you don’t know the real essence of all of this… jesus came here not to built a religion like other nowadays do for their personal benefits and view the good news as a mere business/corporation.. jesus came here to save mankind not for the mankind to fight for each other just to make themselves stand out or their religion… what if i am a member of this church but my doings are not right,,, jesus is right when he says that “these men praise me with their mouths but their hearts is far away from me… do you see yourselves as a true christian..??????. for me you are all like modern pharisees and saducees…..

  37. i’m not against bro. eli and i admired him for his ministry… but i don’t think he is a genius in the bible… for you to become a genius in the bible you must follow what the bible say because this is the covenant of GOD with men… and the sabbath is one important thing to observed… they said that this is not anymore observed… i don’t think so… this is included in the 10 commandments….. god set an example on resting and observing this special day when he rested on the seventh day after his creation… and jesus also followed and observed this special day… and also moses, jacob, abraham, isaac are also sabbath keepers. and if others said that this is only law for the israel and not for all people.. i will say to them that if they claimed that they are men of god they must also observed sabbath because all of the man of god observed this day….

  38. to unknown obviously u insufficiently understood the bible nor the genius that bro. eli speaks to still dwell on a law an old covenant which fades away obsolete.even if some old testament people fulfill it its bec. They are under that law,but when that law was nullifies it ceases to b effective.can u prove that the law of moses the sabbath even f respected revered people like moses follow was meant to b followed at all times even by christians?what u cant prove s ur wrong notion that christ s a sabbath keeper bec he does it otherwise. how cant bro.eli b a genius the wisest preacher presently **perhaps ur hearing with stuffed ear**u cant b justified by the law of moses.
