God-Inspired Prophecies about a Poor Nation and a Nobody Like Brother Eli

Prophecies are of great importance among God’s people  as early as the seventh generation from the father of humankind.

(Jude 1:14-15) And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus.

(Revelation 19:10) And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

To whom a prophecy is being fulfilled, there rest the testimony of Jesus.

The first century Christians were admonished not to despise prophecies and prophesying.

(1 Thessalonians 5:20) Despise not prophesyings.

There are prophecies meant solely to be fulfilled in the nation of Israel.

(Ezekiel 34:2) Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto the shepherds; Woe be to the shepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds feed the flocks?

There are prophecies meant to have dual fulfillment: both for the Jews and the Gentiles.

(Acts 15:16-17) After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

In fact, the prophet Jeremiah was commanded to prophesy not only for Israel, but for other nations.

(Jeremiah 1:5) Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

It is understandable; therefore, that there are prophecies which fulfillment can happen in other nations of the world.

(1 Kings 8:41) Moreover concerning a stranger, that is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name’s sake…

(Isaiah 61:5) And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

The Philippines (formerly called “Las Islas Filipinas” in honor of King Philip II of Spain), which is a group of Island in the Pacific Ocean, is included in Biblical prophecies.

(Isaiah 24:15) Therefore in the east give glory to the LORD; exalt the name of the LORD, the God of Israel, in the islands of the sea. NIV

Giving glory or glorifying God means offering the sacrifice of thanksgiving.

(Psalms 50:23) Whoso offereth the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifieth me; And to him that ordereth his way aright Will I show the salvation of God.

The word used ‘whoso’ or whosoever qualifies anybody that offers thanksgiving to God. A collateral prophecy from Jeremiah, a prophet for nations outside of Israel, states:

(Jeremiah 30:19-22, 24) And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. Their children also shall be as formerly, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them. And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD. And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God…

…The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it.

(Bro. Eli Soriano preaching in Araneta Coliseum, Philippines, one of the largest and more famous domes in the world, to less than 30,000 people searching for the genuine Word of God. This “Bible Exposition” was also broadcast simultaneously all over the world via internet, and through the facilities of Globecast Satellite servers.)

The possibility of this prophecy being fulfilled in the Philippines is 100 percent! Brother Eli and his group are ‘easterners’; and his group is the only congregation in the Philippines that offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the God of Israel — weekly. Brother Eli came from among the group he leads. He was never a Catholic, a Protestant, nor a member of any other religious group but the Church of God first preached in the Philippines by Brother Nicholas Perez.

In the prophecy of Jeremiah, it was emphasized that the people of God mentioned, will have a governor that will come out from among them. They are called God’s people; the time of their existence is explicitly written: The later days or the end times. A collateral prophecy was written by Daniel for the end times.

(Daniel 12:4, 9-10) But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased…

…And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.

Brother Eli is a nobody, but the wisdom and understanding that he has, because of his fear of the Lord, is undeniable and irrefutable: After all, the prophecy does not require a special somebody in human society to be the preacher of the true teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ.

(John 7:17) If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

The phrase ‘any man’ may apply even to the humble person of Brother Eli. What is vital to determine is the doctrine — if it comes from God, from the Bible, or from one’s self.

He that speaks in behalf of God for His glory is sent by God.

(John 7:18) He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

There are those that speak of themselves — not coming from God, or from the Bible!

He that fears the Lord and doeth righteousness is acceptable unto Him.

(Acts 10:34-35) Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

The Philippines as a nation, and Brother Eli as a citizen of the Philippines, is a fulfillment of this prophecy.

Brother Eli, whenever he preaches, reads the Bible. Questions are answered by the Bible (See video below).

(Jonathan Hudson of Los Angeles, California asks Brother Eli if God can commit sin. In return, Brother Eli answers his question not from his own capacity, but from biblical verses that was inspired by the Holy Spirit of God)

His work and manner of preaching fits another prophecy.

(Revelation 1:3) Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Let us compare.

The Bible says, “Do not bow down thyself unto man-made images nor worship them.”

(Deuteronomy 5:8-9) Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me…

(Acts 17:29) Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.

Leaders of the Catholic Church command their members to bow, worship, and pray to graven images. Are these leaders sent of God?

The Bible says:

(Matthew 23:9) …call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

Catholic leaders wanted to be called father — against the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Bible says that the law on tithing is for the Levite priests to collect among their brethren, and such priesthood was changed, therefore, the law on tithing was changed, also. But until now, leaders of Protestants and Born-Again Movements collect tithes from their members.

(Hebrews 7:5, 12) And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham…

…For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

Collection in the New Testament Church is:

(1 Corinthians 16:1-2) Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye. Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

Tithing is not imposed; instead, the ‘Christian heart’ decides how much to give.

(2 Corinthians 9:7) Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

And what is shocking is that the leader of the famous 700 Club, International is asking as high as 90%.

Apollo Quiboloy teaches a month of sacrifice, which is not Biblical and even, dictates the amount that a member should give.

Another foolish teaching of this false prophet is that the new Jerusalem is his native city of Davao in the Philippines (See image below), to where God, allegedly, will transfer His throne.

(He has chosen Davao City to become His New Jerusalem. The New Jerusalem will become the center of the universe. God’s throne will be moved from the third heaven to this earth. — Taken from the official website of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ)

A similar foolishness came from one of the false prophets of the Americas, Joseph Smith — claiming (which never came true) that New Jerusalem will be in the State of Missouri, USA.

The Bible tells us that the New Jerusalem will come from above — from God; not from this earth.

(Revelation 21:1-2) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

This brief insight will make everybody realize that the teachings of the Bible being preached by Brother Eli is very far from the erroneous teachings of so many so-called ‘great’ religious leaders of our times.

We will continue, God willing, to compare the erroneous teachings and practices of religious leaders of our times in the next issue of this blog.

God Bless You All.

Of Boring Sermons and Religious Rights

Bro. Eli,

How dare you to tell us that your church is the real church. You don’t have any rights at all because I was there when you deliver your talks last week and it didn’t convince me at all. You are interpreting your bible in a shallow or literal meaning. All your talks are scripted and I hate to tell this but I find your talks so boring, irritating and nauseating. Sorry about that but i think you need to know this coz you are trying hard and you cannot fool people especially those educated ones and with great faith in our catholic church. Our church is not discriminatory or trying to step foot on others faith. Focus on your own followers. Respect other religion coz we are not a fool to digest all your shallow explanations.

Lillian Fernando

Dear Madame Fernando,

I am very sorry to hear from you that I have no right to say that the Church of God is the true Church. For your information, Madame, it is not only the right of a person to think or to believe he is right, but it is of the highest level of sanity. Because, if you believe that you are wrong and you still have the guts to say that you are right that is the highest level of insanity — as far as my opinion is concerned.

(1 Corinthians 10:23) All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

But of course, it is a basic human right — you are entitled to your own opinion; but don’t forget mine.

(Matthew 7:12) Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

The Catholic Church spearheaded the notion and claim that it is the only one true church in the world, and there is no salvation outside of it.

Others followed suit.

(This was taken from Iglesia ni Cristo’s (Church of Christ by Felix Manalo) official magazine called “Pasugo” (God’s Message)

(Jose Luis Miranda, leader of the group “Growing in Grace” )

The true Church in the Bible never claimed that it is the true church because it does not have any feeling of guilt or insecurity. In fact, with the help of your computer, you can easily type the phrase “true church”, and instantaneously find out that there is no such term in the Bible. If I say that the Church of God is the true church because I believe in the Bible, it is my religious right; and I am not saying — and never will I — that my church is the true church (as you have accused me of), because I do not have any church of my own; only preaching the Church written in the Bible.

If you open your Bible (particularly the official Bible of the Roman Catholic Church), the church in the Bible is the Church of God.

(Acts 20:28) Take heed to yourselves and to the whole flock, wherein the Holy Ghost hath placed you bishops, to rule the Church of God which he hath purchased with his own blood. DOUAY-RHEIMS VERSION

And because it is the church which is written in the Bible, don’t I have the right to believe that it is the true church?

The official name of your church, “The Holy Catholic Apostolic Roman Church”, is not written in the Bible. It only acquired its official name in the Vatican Council of 1870. So, it is understandable that it is not the ‘true’ church in the Bible. (See reference below)

Imagine, a church that claims that it is the original, having its official name only after eighteen hundred long years!

You said “that you were bored listening to me”. I respect your right; but you see, when I also listen to sermons of priests, I am more than bored because they do not teach the Bible — but their own opinion. Want an example?

The Catholic Church, for centuries, taught its followers the existence of limbo. Millions have died believing in it; but now, your present pope declared that limbo does not exist, so, it is a mere opinion of the past popes, or its non-existence is also an opinion of the present.

Here is another opinion of your leaders, which is blatantly non-biblical. We came from apes? Biblically, we were created directly by God as humans.

(Genesis 2:7) And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Your pope now said “that there is substantial scientific proof of the theory of evolution”, which declaration proves the ignorance of your leaders regarding the Bible.

(God’s gift … Pope Benedict has been given reason enough lately to believe in the theory of evolution / Reuters / Reuters)

Pope Benedict admits evidence for evolution
Herald Sun Australia/ July 26, 2007
POPE Benedict has said there is substantial scientific proof of the theory of evolution.

You said that, I am “trying hard, that I am fooling people”, which you did not substantiate with any evidence — biblical or outside of the Bible. For this I have to say that it is the opposite. I am not trying hard because it is very easy for me to prove that your practices in your church like, kneeling before idols, praying before idol of stones and woods are prohibited by God.

(Deuteronomy 5:7-9) Thou shalt not have strange gods in my sight. Thou shalt not make to thy self a graven thing, nor the likeness of any things, that are in heaven above, or that are in the earth beneath, or that abide in the waters under the earth. Thou shalt not adore them, and thou shalt not serve them. For I am the Lord thy God, a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon their children unto the third and fourth generation, to them that hate me… DOUAY-RHEIMS VERSION

(Acts 17:29) Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.

You said that “I am fooling people”, but I am not the one fooling people because I am reading to them the words of God in the Bible, but your priests do not — as often as I do!

You also said that, “our church is not discriminatory or trying to step foot on others faith.” To this, I say, as a brotherly advice to you, that you must do a little research. Your church does not only trample the rights of other faith, but executes or murders those who do not want to believe in her doctrines. To this, the late Pope John Paul II, I call as my witness.

The most disgusting of your comment is “Respect other religion coz we are not a fool to digest all your shallow explanations.” You should have said this to your leaders. I respect other’s faith, but I have to follow my God’s instruction to shout and tell people the truth.

(Isaiah 58:1) Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

I am sorry to hear from you that you “can not digest my shallow explanations”. It is your right. But if my shallow explanations can not be digested by you, the more your digestive system will be in trouble if you encounter the deeper things of God in the Bible.

(1 Corinthians 2:10) But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

It is the Spirit that reveals the truth of the word of God in the Bible in the heart of a man, not the explanation of anybody — including Brother Eli.

(Acts 16:14) And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.

I pray to God that He may enlighten you.

God Bless You.

A Scientific Way of Discovering Biblical Truth (Part 3)

This is the third installment of my article entitled “A Scientific Way of Discovering Biblical Truth”

One does not have to be a special someone in society to be instrumental in preaching the true Gospel of Christ. The very first called Apostles were illiterate fishermen.

(Acts 4:13) Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Those who are called for God’s special purpose are mostly ‘nobodies’ in society.

(1 Corinthians 1:26-29) For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to naught things that are…

This is God’s way in expressing and making known His power. The unimportant and the poor nation of Israel were chosen to be God’s people.

(Deuteronomy 7:6-7) For thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people…

They were then the only people of God on earth.

(2 Kings 5:15) And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.

(Romans 9:4-5) Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.

Jesus Christ, the greatest person who ever lived on earth, came out from these oppressed people of God. John the Baptist, a great prophet, is a poor uneducated man.

(Matthew 3:4) And the same John had his raiment of camel’s hair, and a leather girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

This is consistently the pattern of God’s salvation wherein He uses the lowly to do great task.

(Ecclesiastes 9:14-15) There was a little city, and few men within it; and there came a great king against it, and besieged it, and built great bulwarks against it: Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city; yet no man remembered that same poor man.

Paul, an educated Apostle confessed of his infirmity, thus, leaving him no chance of glorifying himself.

(2 Corinthians 12:6-9) For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Brother Eli: The person and the work

02.jpgI have nothing to boast or to glory about myself. I am definitely nobody. Whatever infirmities or defects I have in my person is known to my peers. As I have said before, I am not perfectly witty, but I am perfectly me.

I am not ashamed about my person to anyone because I know that this is the way my Creator wants me to be: In height; the color of my skin (now, with blemishes); my eyes (although quite protruding); my voice (which I know is not quite inviting to ears — but I love singing); and the entire person I am. To sum it all up, I am not of a very pleasing personality; but I want to tell everybody that it is not my goal to please everybody, but my God. Of course, conscientiously, I want to please people — as it is convenient to live without enemies. But I know, of certainty, the path that I am presently treading is one where I will meet and make more enemies than friends.

Can I be used by God as a preacher of the true Gospel? Let us consult the Holy Scriptures. The only quality needed for somebody to be used by God as Instrument of His righteousness is to be clean or pure.

(2 Timothy 2:19-21) Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness.” Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.

I believe it is the Master that prepares a vessel for a good work. It is not within man’s ability to clean and prepare himself for a good work or purpose.

(Jeremiah 10:23) O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Doing good is an obligation of anyone who knows how to do it.

(James 4:17) Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

My fear of the Lord, and the fear to sin consistently, are the factors that drives me to speak the Gospel — to preach it.

When I first got hold of a Bible, there was, inside me, a power that made me feel the urge to read… and read more… and more… and more.

As I read, verses were imprinted in my mind one after the other, verses that arouse my consciousness about every problem and questions in life. What is life for? Why does it end? Who gives it? And what will be the afterlife?

These questions were all answered until the time that I can not anymore contain it within me, but I want to share it to others, as somebody who has found a great wealth willing to share and alleviate the sufferings of the poor.

The knowledge that I have accumulated in reading the word of God obliges me to speak and share the truth that I have known. My faith gives me the strength to speak.

(2 Corinthians 4:13) We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak…

I know that the mouth of a human person can be used to tell the truth about God.

(Romans 10:10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

I have a mouth and there is faith in my heart, these compel me to break my silence. I believe people should be warned. They have to hear the Good News; it is not only their right, but my obligation.

(Bro. Eli Soriano preaching in Araneta Coliseum, one of the largest and more famous dome in the world, to less  than 30,000 people searching for the genuine Word of God.  This “Bible Exposition” was also broad casted  simultaneously all over the world via internet, and through the facilities of Globecast Satellite servers.)

(1 Corinthians 9:16) For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

I have an open mind and heart. If there is anybody in this dispensation who knows better than what I have known, I am willing to be subjected to him and help him labor for the glory of the God of Israel.

I am old and tired. I have labored for years; but I believe what I have done, is not even an inch of the many miles of work that lies ahead. I do not know when I will rest, but before I finally close my lips in silence, God-willing, until that time, I want to speak the truth — and nothing but the truth. So help me God. Until then, I am nobody.

(Luke 17:10) So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, we are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

To this, I say, AMEN!

A Scientific Way of Discovering Biblical Truth (Part 2)

This is the second installment of my article entitled “A Scientific Way of Discovering Biblical Truth”.

I do not claim to be an Apostle, an executive minister, or a ‘sumo pontifice’ (supreme pontiff), or a ‘supremo’ among those people who follow me in faith. I refuse to be called pastor, reverend or sir.

The word reverend was only used once in the King James Version of the Bible (KJV) to describe the name of the Most High.

(Psalms 111:9) “He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant forever: holy and reverend is His name.”

I do not allow anybody to call me ‘sir’ — especially when it comes to religious matters because the word ‘sir’ means:

sire [sīr]

Sire address to king or lord: a respectful form of address for a king or lord (archaic)

[12th century. Via French < Latin senior (see senior)]

Microsoft® Encarta® 2007

It is a biblical prohibition!

(1 Peter 5:2-3) “Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being examples to the flock.” crowd2.jpg

But who is Brother Eli in the religious realm of the present dispensation? Can he be somebody in comparison with religious leaders of this world today? Let us investigate this matter in a scientifically biblical manner.

I am an easterner… a Filipino. Geographically, the Philippines is a part of the east. Biblical prophecies speak of the east.

(Zechariah 8:7) “Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country…”

The prophecy is not confined only to countries east of the center of biblical direction or reckoning point, (Jerusalem), but also speaks of east in the geographical sense.

(Malachi 1:11) “For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.”

The prophecy speaks of gentiles in the east (gentiles are those outside of the nation of Israel — God’s chosen people Ephesians 2:11-12). Geographical consideration will place the country of the Philippines as a biblical possibility where incense and pure offerings will be offered to God. Incense means prayers and praises to the God of Israel.

(Revelation 5:8) “And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints…” RSV

Although Japan is called the “land of the rising sun”, which qualifies it, also, to be a possible fulfillment of the prophecy but, generally, they do not praise or pray to the God of Israel, but to other gods, thus, disqualifying them.

(Isaiah 24:15) “Therefore in the east give glory to the LORD; in the coastlands of the sea, to the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.” RSV

As a nation, the Philippines, my country, is included in biblical prophecies.

(Acts 10:34-35) “Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.”

With regards to dialects and languages, my country of diverse dialects is included in biblical prophecies of salvation.

(Isaiah 66:18-19) “For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.”

Originally, the Philippines is called “Las Islas Filipinas”.

(Revelation 7:9) “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands…”

The number of languages listed for Philippines is 175. Of those, 171 are living languages and 4 are extinct.

As to the manner of God’s calling, my people are qualified to be possible fulfillment of the prophecies.

(1 Corinthians 1:26-29) “For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to naught things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.”

crowd.jpgFilipinos, like me, do not claim supremacy over other nations of the earth. Our history will reveal that we are the oppressed, the exploited, and now are very poor; but I believe that this economic condition in my country does not disqualify us from meriting God’s salvation like the poor nation of Israel.

(Deuteronomy 7:6-7) “For thou art a holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people…”

(Luke 6:20-23) “And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.”

But how about the person and the work of Brother Eli?

The Church of God Is Needed For Salvation

Anybody who will say that the Church is not needed in salvation is stupid! Let us have a thorough study on this matter.

The common denominator of all equations regarding salvation is the savior. I do not want to call it LCD. Jesus Christ is the Savior. Every Christian believes this. Agreed?

Christ came on earth to teach the words of the Father in heaven, His commandments and his will.

John 12:49 says:

“For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.”

Anybody who listens to the Lord Jesus Christ listens to the Father. Agreed?

The words of Christ, which came from the Father, were written by the apostles and evangelists in the Bible. Agreed? Whether you agree or not, it is what the Bible says.

(1 Corinthians 14:37) “If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.”

The apostles and evangelists have written words which came from the mouth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

(1 John 1:3-4) “That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.”

Accepting the teachings and the writings of the apostles and evangelists is accepting the teachings of Christ and the Father. Agreed? Rejecting them is rejecting the Father and the Son. Agreed?

(Luke 10:16) “He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.”

The Scriptures do not use vain words in teaching.

(James 4:5) “Or do you think that the Scripture speaks to no purpose: “He jealously desires the Spirit which He has made to dwell in us”? NASB

Every word that the Lord Jesus Christ uttered is of utmost importance to salvation. Not a word of God is vain.

(Psalms 119:160) “All your words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.” NIV

Every word counts!

(Proverbs 8:8-9) “All the words of my mouth are just; none of them is crooked or perverse. To the discerning all of them are right; they are faultless to those who have knowledge.”

The Lord Jesus Christ said, and was written by Matthew,

(Matthew 16:18) “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

The word church came from God the Father and was spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ, and written by the apostles. It is part of His teachings! In fact, the word church was mentioned about 114 times in the writings of the apostles and the evangelists. It will not be written if it is not needed. It will not be built if it is not important. Agreed? God is a no-nonsense God. The idea and the structure of the Church came from Him.

(1 Corinthians 12:28) “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”

Jesus realized its importance so; He sacrificed for it and gave Himself for it. In fact, it is the very reason why He suffered and was killed.

(Acts 20:28) “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”

Jesus Christ is a no-nonsense savior. He will not give Himself for the sake of the Church if it is not important and dear to Him.

(Ephesians 5:25) “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it…”

Why did He give Himself for the Church? To save it!

(Ephesians 5:23) “For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body.”

The Church is His body and He is the head.

(Colossians 1:18) “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.”

He loved the Church as His body, and gave His physical body to redeem the Church. Remember, “he is the savior of the body.”

Do you need the Church in order to be saved? Jesus Christ will save the body or the Church: To be saved, be a part of it.

(Ephesians 3:6) “That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel…”

The gospel is God’s power to salvation of them that believed.

(Romans 1:16) “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”bible01.jpg

The gospel teaches the true Church: The Church of God!

(2 Corinthians 1:1) “Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia…”

Whoever will say that the Church is not needed for salvation is stupid!

Who says that salvation has no requirement? Just entering your own house or dwelling place requires very important things. If on the way, you stepped on a shit, common sense requires you to take your shoes off before entering. Good morals require you to knock at the door of your child before entering his or her room.

If you are bound to hell, no requirement is needed. Satan will provide you with every evil available to be with him… eternally! See my point?

With Prayers, that you maybe enlightened.

Sincerely yours,

Education 101

Education is defined in the dictionary as an activity of acquiring knowledge through instruction or teaching. The Bible, in 2 Timothy 3:15-16 says,

“And that from a child thou hast known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scriptures is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The Bible has in its pages doctrines, corrections, instructions in righteousness, and the best knowledge needed in educating any man. It will not come short of any good thing needed to make a man perfect before the sight of God.

The infallible teacher is the Holy Spirit of God who knows the whole truth as was written in John 14:26, which states,

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

The Bible can teach knowledge and wisdom, ahead of its discovery by man. We know in the book of Isaiah, written 600 years before Christ, and almost two millennia before the theories of Copernicus and other scientists that the Earth is round and spherical in shape came out.

Even without a telescope, the stars can be seen by the naked eye, and it is very hard to number them. In Genesis 22:17, God told Abraham that his descendants will be as many as the stars he can see in heaven. With a telescope, we can see more than Abraham has seen less than 3000 years ago. The Earth now is populated by less than 7 billion people, thus, proving that the word of God teaches us the truth about astronomy and mathematics. Abraham can not see as many as a billion stars with his naked eyes; but several billions can be seen with our telescopes now, thus, proving the authenticity of God’s pronouncement in the Bible.

God’s wisdom is compared in the Bible as high as the heaven, and man’s is as low as the earth’s. In Isaiah 55:8-9, it says:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Until now, even with the advent of sophisticated tools of Science, man can not know exactly how high is the heavens from the earth. Guesses were made by the Greek thinker Thales and his pupil, Anaximander, regarded as the father of astronomy. Pythagoras, Ptylomy, Copernicus and many others, about the universe and its extent, but they all, in so many points, have failed; proving, once more, what the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 8:17, thus,

Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it; yea further; though a wise man think to know it, yet shall he not be able to find it.”

I must emphasize that what Solomon said are things under the sun. He said, “…all the work of God…under the sun”, there are a few, very few, that man had accidentally discovered but not all; proving that up to now the pronouncement of the Bible stands. And, if the work under the sun can not be fully understood by man, much more those things beyond the sun.

Does anybody want to be knowledgeable of God’s unfailing wisdom? The Bible can educate us with knowledge far more advanced than the knowledge accumulated throughout the centuries by all of humanity combined. 1 Corinthians 1:25 states:

“Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.”

The wisdom we can learn from the Bible and the knowledge we can acquire from it is far better than the guesses, temporary and partial knowledge of man. Why temporary and partial? The belief of scientists five decades ago have changed very recently. Sometime in the past, scientists believe that protein is food for the brain, but now, they say that sugar is the food for the brain. In Genesis 2:16 it says:

“And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat.”

Adam is an intelligent man. He named all the animals and birds that exist in his time. We are sure that they are more in number than the animals at present because a great number of them are now extinct. Genesis 2:19-20 says:

“And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.”

Adam’s intelligence did not come from a brain that was fed with protein. Fruits that he eats in the garden contains more fructose (a good kind of sugar) and only very little amount of protein. High protein diets burdens the kidneys, but never fruits. Ask your dieticians and doctors and they will agree with me. This only proves to show that the kind of knowledge we can acquire in believing in the word of God is far better than the guesses of all men combined.

The best education regarding all areas of knowledge and wisdom are available in the Bible. Psychology, science, architecture, nutrition, morals, and everything that will make a man ‘man enough’ to acknowledge his CREATOR are in the pages of the Holy Scriptures. Isaiah 34:16 has this to say:

“Seek ye out the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.”

A Sweet Evidence of the Authenticity of the Bible

The Polynesians were thought to be the first to discover the use and manufacturing of sugar and spread it to India. As early as 510 B.C., emperor Darius of Persia invaded India where he found “the reed which gives honey without bees.” The Arabs, who invaded Persia in 642 A.D., have learned how sugar was made and have expanded sugar productions in other lands. Sugar, practically, had affected the political and economic landscape of the entire globe. HISTORY FOLLOWS.

After more than two thousand five hundred years; and more than six hundred generations of people, India has the highest rate of diabetes estimated to be 41 million people as of 2007; followed by China with 39.8 million and USA with 19.2 million. This is the truth!

Here are just some of the dangers of eating sugar (taken from: http://www.angelfire.com/az/sthurston/sugar_addiction.html)

  1. Sugar can suppress your immune system and impair your defenses against infectious disease.
  2. Sugar upsets the mineral relationships in your body: causes chromium and copper deficiencies and interferes with absorption of calcium and magnesium.
  3. Sugar can cause can cause a rapid rise of adrenaline, hyperactivity, anxiety, difficulty concentrating, and crankiness in children.
  4. Sugar can produce a significant rise in total cholesterol, triglycerides and bad cholesterol and a decrease in good cholesterol.
  5. Sugar causes a loss of tissue elasticity and function.
  6. Sugar feeds cancer cells and has been connected with the development of cancer of the breast, ovaries, prostate, rectum, pancreas, biliary tract, lung, gallbladder and stomach.
  7. Sugar can weaken eyesight.
  8. Sugar can cause many problems with the gastrointestinal tract including: an acidic digestive tract, indigestion, malabsorption in patients with functional bowel disease, increased risk of Crohn’s disease, and ulcerative colitis.
  9. Sugar can cause premature aging.
  10. Sugar can lead to alcoholism.
  11. Sugar can cause your saliva to become acidic, tooth decay, and periodontal disease.
  12. Sugar contributes to obesity.
  13. Sugar can cause autoimmune diseases such as: arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis.
  14. Sugar greatly assists the uncontrolled growth of Candida Albicans (yeast infections)
  15. Sugar can cause gallstones
  16. Sugar can cause appendicitis.
  17. Sugar can cause hemorrhoids.
  18. Sugar can cause varicose veins
  19. Sugar can elevate glucose and insulin responses in oral contraceptive users.
  20. Sugar can contribute to osteoporosis.
  21. Sugar can cause a decrease in your insulin sensitivity thereby causing an abnormally high insulin levels and eventually diabetes
  22. Sugar can lower your Vitamin E levels.
  23. Sugar can increase your systolic blood pressure.
  24. Sugar can cause drowsiness and decreased activity in children.
  25. High sugar intake increases advanced glycation end products (AGEs)(Sugar molecules attaching to and thereby damaging proteins in the body).

The Bible tells us the ‘absolute truth’ even before 510 B.C. when the Indians have started using cane sugar as a sweetener. The book of Proverbs, which was written in 716 B.C., 24:13 and 25:16 says that honey in the proper amount is good. It is the truth that not even the wealth, fame, and political power that the sugar industry has earned, can not refute! In recent findings in science, honey was found to be helpful in the following:

  1. Honey contains vitamins B1, B2, C, B6, B5 and B3 — all of which change according to the qualities of the nectar and the pollen. It also has small amounts of copper, zinc, and iodine. Several kinds of hormones are also present in honey.
  2. It is composed of sugars like glucose and fructose and minerals like magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium chlorine, sulphur, iron and phosphate.
  3. The antimicrobial properties of honey are good for sore throats as they sooth raw tissues.
  4. Honey promotes the rehydration of the body and more quickly clears up diarrhea and any vomiting and stomach upsets.
  5. Honey may also help in ulcers.
  6. Honey is a good source of anti-oxidants; and helps prevents the development of cancer and heart disease.
  7. Low calorie level as that of sugar. Although it gives a lot of energy to the body, it does not add weight unlike sugar.
  8. Honey is a wonderful beauty aid that nourishes the skin and the hair because of its vitamins, minerals, and amino acid contents.
  9. Honey acts as an anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agent and helps disinfects and speeds the healing process in wounds, scrapes, and burns.
  10. Honey provides energy for the body in the process of blood formation. It also cleanses the blood; and helps in blood circulation. It also functions as a protection against capillary problems and arteriosclerosis.

Would anybody dare to refute this truth? To the enemies of the Bible, SPEAK THAT YOU MAY BE HEARD AND BE JUSTIFIED; OR BE FOUND TO BE FOOLS AND IGNORAMUSES.

The Bible has an ancient health giving sweetener. Honey is part of God’s blessings to his chosen people — the Israelites. Before they were liberated out of Egypt, God promised to bring them to a land flowing with milk and honey. Literally, this is the land of Canaan, where before they were born is that land where the Patriarch Abraham and Lot have lived. This is the land where they have grown prosperously with their flock that necessitates [necessitated] Abraham and Lot to part ways because of the increasing number of their herds (Genesis 13:7-9).

“And there was a strife between the herdsmen of Abram’s cattle and the herdsmen of Lot’s cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land. And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdsmen and thy herdsmen; for we be brethren. Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left. And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar. Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other. Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.”

This land was the land promised by God to the Israelites where He intended to guide and bless His people. It is a land said to be flowing with milk and honey. A curios mind may notice, why not a land of gold? Or a land flowing with oil, like the Arabian Desert?

Milk and honey are both complete healthy food. The latter for adults; and the former for babes. While it is not good for a babe to take honey, equally and scientifically, it is not good for the adult to subsist in milk. Honey is recommended by the word of God for adults.

“Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.”

It must be understood that only an adult can find honey. Scientifically, honey is not good for babes; but it is good for anybody who has the ‘ability’ to find it.

“My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:”

Time and again, the authenticity of the Bible is being backed up by history and science. Undeniable evidences that man discovers one by one proves the accuracy of the Holy Scriptures even before man have started to use sophisticated equipments and technologies. Indeed, the Bible, which contains the irrefutable words of God, is a unique and divinely inspired book.

How sweet it is!

“How sweet are Your Words to my taste! More than honey to my mouth!”

Proverbs 119:103
